CHARITY FUNDING AWARD GRANTED....

We recently had the privilege of granting a request from a young man who has been having a tough time throughout his treatment.

He was diagnosed in 2024 and underwent chemotherapy treatment. Unfortunately, having relapsed in 2025, he has since endured extensive further treatment, including Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and an autologous stem cell transplant. Following a second relapse, he has received more chemotherapy and immunotherapy. He is now preparing to receive a bone marrow transplant which will mean a lengthy stay in hospital of several weeks and then a long recovery at home of around 6 months.

During this time, it will be extremely important for him to stay occupied, entertained and connected to his friends and support network as well as maintain social contact through online gaming and communication, thus providing a vital source of companionship and normality.

A request was made to the charity for a high spec PC, with gaming included. The PC will help support his emotional well-being, reduce feelings of isolation and enable him to keep in touch and socialise with friends during treatment and recovery afterwards.

Jasmine's Legacy of Dreams contacted Bedrock computers, who were more than happy to help us put together the best package for him - they were touched by the reason for the purchase and even gave us a few upgrades. We are so grateful to the staff at Bedrock and appreciated their input in bringing the PC order together.

The computer and all of the accessories were delivered last week and I think we can safely say that he is more than happy with his gift from Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams.

We received this photo of him and his new computer and this lovely message from his Mum too:

‘Hi Debbie,
Thanks so much for granting Kauri’s gaming computer wish. We are very grateful to you, the trustees and everyone who has donated to the charity to grant these really welcomed gifts.
The gaming computer arrived and Kauri is beyond happy, excited and grateful.
It is perfect and exactly what he asked for.
I didn't tell him it was arriving today, so he had a lovely surprise.
As I understand it from Kauri I think it has an extra fan, Bluetooth and WiFi connector, (these are the upgrades that were given to him from Bedrock Computers)
It looks very impressive.
He wanted me to say a huge and very grateful thank you for this gift.
He is smiling a very huge smile.
He’s now also downloaded a couple of games and had some new headphones delivered today. He’s enjoying something new and chatting with a friend who also has a gaming PC.
Thank you so much. Lovely to see him smile xx
I’ve attached a photo of a very happy chap with everything set up and working
We are beyond grateful to you and your amazing charity.
What a joyful way to remember your own child by helping other poorly children.
You're all angels and we appreciate your amazing thoughtfulness and kindness.
Much love and best wishes to you.

OCTOBER DREAM LOTTERY DRAW

Hi everyone, just letting you all know that the October Dream Lottery draw is being held this Thursday 22nd October. We will be holding a live feed draw at 7p.m. on the charity page, so why not come and join us?

We still have a small number of regular players who have yet to make their payment and we will be contacting you individually to make sure you are in the draw 😀.

A few numbers may become available as we move closer to the draw so, if you are interested in becoming a player, please contact Debbie Moseley (07766 817030) or Andrew Moseley (07387 277209) or send us a message via Messenger or WhatsApp and we will get back to you.

It is a single £500 prize for the lucky winner. Any receipts over that amount go directly to the charity to help support teenagers and young adults who live in the East Midlands and who have cancer. The charity seeks to do something special for them at a time when they are at their most vulnerable and when they are feeling isolated and alone, especially during treatment 💖.

💛 A little charity box. A lot of kindness.

Leah has counted up the donations from our charity box on the bar, and we're delighted to share that £113.91 has been raised for Jasmine's Legacy of Dreams .

A huge thank you to everyone who has dropped a few coins in, added a donation, or simply taken the time to support this wonderful cause. Every contribution, however small, has helped make this possible.

Jasmine's Legacy of Dreams was created in memory of Jasmine Moseley, who was diagnosed with leukaemia at just 18. Despite undergoing significant treatment, including a bone marrow transplant, and fighting with incredible determination, Jasmine sadly lost her life shortly before her 20th birthday.

The charity was established in her memory to support teenagers and young adults living with cancer, helping to provide some of the practical and emotional support that can make such an enormous difference during an incredibly difficult time.

So today, it's simply a case of saying thank you.

£113.91 raised by lots of individual acts of kindness is something worth celebrating.

Well done, everyone. 💛

14 OCT DREAM LOTTERY DRAW POSTPONEMENT

Hi everyone, this post is for those who play Jasmine's Legacy of Dreams, dream lottery, or for those who would like to participate in the next and future draws. Unfortunately, due to other key charity commitments, we need to delay the draw from next Wednesday 14th October to Thursday 22nd October.

The draw will continue to take place live at 7pm on Thursday 22nd. We hope this is not too disappointing for you, given the possibility of getting your hands on the £500 prize 😀.

Future draws will continue to take place on the 14th of the draw months. The next one will be on 14th December at 7pm and then we start again in 2027, with the draws being on the 14th of the following months, again at 7pm; Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct and Dec.

For this October draw, the extra few days gives players the chance to get their payments in to secure their numbers. For those who don't yet play and are interested in playing, please message Debbie Moseley or Andrew Moseley and we will get back to you. All monies raised from the draws, after the prize draw has been paid out, goes directly to supporting teenagers and young adults in the East Midlands who have cancer 💖.

REQUEST TO SEE STRANGER THINGS...

We have been given permission to share a very special request that we at Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams received in August.
Having received the diagnosis in July 2024 Dexter has been receiving treatment at QMC Nottingham, spending much of his time as an inpatient receiving chemotherapy. After receiving some disappointing news regarding a new treatment that he was due to start, having not been well enough to proceed, the family decided to do as much as they could together while he was able to and felt well enough.
Now this young man is a huge fan of Stranger Things, and he decided he would like to go and see it at the theatre in London. So we received a request asking if this is something that we could help with.
As you can possibly imagine it was a no brainer and I was on it, getting prices etc. while waiting on approval from the trustees.
We had just 4 days before the date of the show!!!! Yes 4 days!!!
The best seats in the theatre that we could get were purchased for Dexter, his sister and mum and dad, making sure of access for him as his strength was limited.
The family were so happy that they would be able to make his dream come true.
But we weren’t finished yet. As the family were going to be driving to London to watch the show, it was decided that it wouldn’t be fair if they had to drive all the way home afterwards. So we also found them a lovely hotel that was less that half a mile away from the theatre with it’s own car park too, so no worries of where to leave the car.
The family were thrilled and sent us some photos of their trip.
We also received this lovely message of thanks from Mum

‘Hi Debbie,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this trip possible for Dexter. We had such a fantastic time. The hotel was lovely and the show was amazing! Because you were able to fund the trip for us, we were able to use the money we saved to add on a trip to Thorpe Park on the way home, giving us all a couple of days' break from being a 'cancer' family.
Dexter said it was the most fun he's had since his cancer came back (and seeing that he relapsed over a year and a half ago, that's pretty good going).
Thank you so much again'.

Charlotte, Carl, Lily and Dexter.

I think you will agree that this message says it all….. The reason that we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years and here’s to many more of helping those who need it.
You are all AMAZING….x

CHARITY FUNDING AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT

Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams charity was privileged and delighted to help a young person, who had recently completed cancer treatment, to go and see her music idol, Billy Ocean. Billy was the star appearance at the Derby Live open-air concert recently and was supported by other music stars such as Marti Pellow and Katrina and the Waves.

Georgia had recently completed cancer treatment following her initial diagnosis however, she was then diagnosed with a separate, extremely rare cancer condition, which she is currently receiving special treatment for. It became even more important for the charity to ensure that it delivered something extra special for Georgia to enjoy💝.

The concert was being held during Georgia’s 16th birthday weekend. The application said it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to see her music idol. The trustees had no problem in arranging for VIP tickets for Georgia and her Mum, Dad and friend. As you can see from the photos, the VIP arena got them very close to the stage, with a great view!

Given the trustees’ desire to make it an even more special evening for Georgia, thanks to some wonderful benefactors of the charity who loaned their beautiful Bentley, we were able to drive Georgia, her Mum, Dad and friend in luxury to and from the venue.

Georgia’s Mum said that they all had a really special time, particularly Georgia and they wanted to thank the charity and its supporters for helping to make Georgia’s 16th birthday special. She also wanted to thank the owners of the Bentley for their very kind gesture in loaning their lovely Bentley.

Coincidentally, Georgia was one of the group of young cancer patients that visited Harry Potter World recently, which was arranged by the Young Lives v Cancer charity. Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams was delighted to help fund that trip and we are so pleased Georgia and the other patients had such great time (see the post published on 25 Aug 2026).

Thank you to all our supporters for helping to make Georgia’s 16th birthday weekend even more special 🙏. We send Georgia and her parents all our love and best wishes💖.
