We think about what’s next, and plan for it. We jump in, get muddy, give back and get set. We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost half a mi

llion 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life. Worthwhile? It is. But don't just take our word for it. Take theirs. Scouting is a youth movement, meaning its the young people that drive it forward.

Thank you Surplus to Supper

1st Sunbury Cub Pack's Weekend of Learning and Food Rescue! 📦
​The 1st Sunbury Cub Pack transformed their Remembrance Day tradition into an impactful weekend event, focusing on community service and sustainability.
Learning about Food Waste: On Saturday, the Cubs and their leaders walked from their HQ to Surplus to Supper.
A "Weighty" Lesson: The Cubs were stunned to learn how much food Surplus to Supper saves from landfill in their area daily. To visualise the volume, one cub gamely agreed to be weighed and they were stunned to find that Surplus to Supper rescues the equivalent weight of 120 Cubs every single day!
Community Impact: The Pack also learned about how Surplus to Supper distributes the rescued food and the extensive network of charities they support.
Weekend Supplies: The visit concluded with the Cubs collecting food provided by Surplus to Supper for their own weekend activities back at HQ, offering a donation in exchange.
​The Pack expressed their gratitude, noting they had a great time, learned a lot, and enjoyed the food provided.
Thank you to all the Cubs and the leaders, we look forward to hosting you again!
