We are hiring a Community Cook!

Are you a creative cook who loves bringing people together? We are looking for an innovative, community-minded individual to lead our café at The Octagon (GL5 4BX). You’ll turn donated and garden-grown ingredients into nourishing meals while leading our wonderful volunteer team.

The Details:

Pay: £13.33 per hour (Paid role).

Hours: 7 hours per week, every Wednesday.

Requirements: Dietary/nutritional knowledge and FSA Allergens certificate. Level 3 Food Hygiene is required (but you can complete this within two weeks of starting!).

At Nosh (The Network of Stroud Hubs), we know that when times are tough, we worry about every member of the household, including the ones with four legs and wagging tails!

Pets bring us so much joy and comfort, but the rising cost of pet food can be a real struggle. We don't want anyone in Stroud to have to choose between filling their own plate or their pet's bowl.

That’s why many of our hubs now stock:

🐶 Dog food

🐱 Cat food

🐾 Other pet essentials (when available)

If you’re finding it hard to keep up with the cost of pet supplies, please stop by. There’s no judgment and no fuss ,just a community making sure that no one (human or animal!) goes hungry.

Come in for a chat, grab what you need, and let us help ease the load.
