🪴 Plastic Free Gardening 🌽

For week 3 of plastic free July we looked at avoiding plastic used in gardening. Aside from the impact from manufacturing plastic from fossil fuels, there are limited recycling options and the problem of contamination from microplastics in soil when plastic items degrade in the sun.

🥬 The garden keeps growing 🍓

👏 A huge thanks to Marilyn Miles of the Nailsworth Community Orchard for sending our way a boot-full of lovely brassicas and strawberries that she'd recovered at the end of the RHS Badminton Show.

🥗 All now nestled in to the NCAN Grow It group's garden project at The Arkell Centre in Forest Green and destined for the Community Cafe and Food Pantry.
