⚓ NATIONAL CADET WEEK – COULD YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

This National Cadet Week, we’re looking for people to help us build the future of Stratford-upon-Avon Sea Cadets – TS Gurkha.
Every week, our volunteers help local young people develop confidence, teamwork, leadership and practical skills through training, boating, adventure and new experiences.
Now we need more people to join us.

⚓ Become an adult volunteer or uniformed instructor and help deliver the very best Sea Cadet experience.

Or bring your professional skills to our Trustee team. We’re particularly looking for experience in:
• Fundraising & Grants
• Redevelopment & Major Projects
• Communications & PR
• Schools & Youth Engagement

You don’t need a military or Sea Cadet background. Whether you can volunteer regularly or contribute professional expertise, your skills could make a real difference to young people in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Interested? Get in touch this week.

📩 Message us through Facebook or email us by Sunday 11 October to arrange an informal chat and find out more.

There’s no commitment at this stage – come and meet us and see where your skills could make a difference.

Contact CPO Matt Francis, Officer in Charge, or Chris Wheeler, Chair of Trustees.

Give your time. Share your skills. Help inspire the next generation.

We only went and did it!
A big thank you to everyone that has donated and shared our fundraising link. All of our runners finished the Stratford Big Half Marathon today, for some it was a tough day at the office, but I think everyone enjoyed themselves...

Also running today were friends and colleages from the wider Sea Cadet Family, including, I am told, one of TS Gurkhas Able Cadets in the 10km event.

It's not too late to donate if you've been holding out until Race Day, you might just be the one to take us over £1500.

🏃‍♂️ Team TS Gurkha is taking on the Stratford Half Marathon!

Five members of our team are putting in the miles to raise money for Stratford-upon-Avon Sea Cadets — helping give our young people more opportunities to develop confidence, resilience, leadership and teamwork.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, goes towards helping our cadets take part in activities and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach — from boating and paddlesports to adventure training, competitions and leadership courses.

If you’d like to support the team and help us invest in the next generation, you can donate here:

Another busy couple of weeks for the superstars of TS Gurkha, this time in Area level competition, representing Warwickshire against the best teams from Districts across the Southwest area. Last weekend saw LC Joel take Gold in the Opel Boys Yole competition, and Cadet Theo took Bronze in the Junior boys K1 marathon.

Todays final day of competition at Area Rowing saw our Junior Girls (Cadets Sara, Sophia, Floss, Cdt 1st Mollie and Elizabeth) take Gold and our Junior Sea Cadets (JSC Ben, Tyler, Abel, Asa and Charlie)take Silver.

A huge congratulations to every cadet that took part, continuing the awesome record of bringing home some silverware from every event that we had a team entered into.
