Best of luck to every crew out on the water today. 🐉

And a proper thank you to the organisers and volunteers who've made it happen, a day like this doesn't come together by itself and this town is lucky to have people willing to put the hours in.

Every team out there today is pulling in the same direction.

What if St Neots did the same?

We're asking everyone in this town three questions. What do you love about St Neots, what could be better, and what would make it a great place to live?

Your answer goes into the SNI 2040 Vision, a proper, evidenced picture of what this town wants, taken to the people who make decisions about our next fifteen years.

It takes 60 seconds. You can do it standing on the riverbank.

If you've been wondering what happened after the Big Listen, that's a fair question, our Vice Chair Alex Hughes written an honest answer.

In June, over 400 visited our long table down on the Market Square. ITV came. BBC Look East came. We had a fantastic event in partnership with Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority support and the many volunteers and local organisations.

Then it went quiet.

We know how that looks. So we've written an open letter about what we've actually been doing since and why the visible thing and the right thing weren't the same thing.

It's a five-minute read. Our website is currently down so please check out the article on https://conta.cc/4wmbBLY and please do reach out if you want to discuss any of this or get involved with the listening campaign.

Congratulations to Grace Marsh on her appointment as Youth Collective Lead for the St Neots Initiative.

As one of our town's youngest Managing Directors (Citizen Hub), Grace has already shown that leadership isn't defined by age, it's defined by vision, action and a genuine commitment to people.

Her passion for creating opportunities, connecting communities and championing young voices makes her the perfect person to help shape this exciting next chapter.

We're looking forward to seeing the Youth Collective grow under Grace's leadership and to empowering even more young people to play an active role in the future of St Neots.

Congratulations, Grace, we're excited for what's ahead! 💙

THIS DAY IN JUNE... The day before The Big Listen, it was all hands on deck.

Volunteers. Collaborators. Partners. Supporters. Community members.

Everyone rolled up their sleeves with one shared purpose: to create a space where the people of St Neots could come together and have their voices heard.

As our town continues to grow, it's more important than ever that we're part of the conversation—so we don't miss the opportunities ahead while continuing to protect the things that make St Neots special and uphold the values that matter most to our community.

The Big Listen was just the beginning.

Now it's your turn.

Through Tables Across Town, you can continue the conversation by sharing your voice or hosting a table in your workplace, community group, school, club or neighbourhood.

💡 Did you know?

The St Neots Initiative wasn't always known by its current name.

Originally established in 1995 as the St Neots Town Centre Initiative, it was created to support the Town Centre Manager and champion the town's growth.

Today, the St Neots Initiative is proudly volunteer-led, powered by passionate local people and supported through the membership of local businesses.

30 years on, the mission remains the same: bringing people together to help St Neots thrive.

Did you know St Neots Initiative has been working on the development of a Sports Collective, including the creation of a Sports Bank to help make sport more accessible in St Neots?

It's another example of how SNI continues to explore practical ways to create opportunities and support our community.

And there's more to come on this one...

Keep your eyes peeled. 👀

A lovely little moment for us in print!

A huge thank you to Think Local for featuring St Neots Initiative and giving us the space to share 30 years of championing St Neots.

From listening to local voices, to connecting businesses and communities, to turning conversations into action, our story has always been about the people who make this town what it is.

Here’s to the next chapter of listening, connecting and acting together.

Thank you, Think Local, for helping us tell our story. 💙

Big shoutout to Leah Falzarano from Notion To Now and the Manic Run Club team for bringing the community together for their 24 hour Bikeathon.

Members of St Neots Initiative and Citizen Hub were proud to jump on the bike for an hour and play a small part in supporting the fundraiser.

This is exactly what we love to see in St Neots. Local people, local businesses and community groups showing up for something bigger than themselves.

The Bikeathon is raising money for Samaritans and East Anglia Air Ambulance, two causes that do vital work.

If you’re able to give, even a small amount, please show some generosity and support the team.

Every donation helps. Every bit of encouragement matters.

Well done Leah and everyone involved. A brilliant community effort.

What a way to wrap up our Business Leaders Gatherings for the summer!

Our July gathering brought together brilliant people, big ideas and plenty of conversations plus not one, not two, but three Business Baby Showers, celebrating and championing:

🎟️ Golden Ticket Prom Project
🏡 John Chand Personal Estate Agent
🌱 Mini Change Makers

We also broke out into a session exploring the future of a Community Financial & Digital Hub, bringing local leaders together to discuss what it could look like, who it could serve and the opportunities it could create for St Neots.

Because these gatherings aren't just about networking. They're about putting ideas on the table, connecting the right people and getting behind the people and projects trying to make things happen.

Thank you to everyone who's joined us, contributed, connected and supported one another this summer.

Have a lovely break, Business Leaders Gathering will be back in September.

See you then! ❤️
