A new chapter of opportunity at Citizen Hub St Neots! đź’š

Yesterday, we came together with our partners and community to celebrate the launch of Connect to Work, a fantastic new addition to the support available at Citizen Hub.

Finding work, returning to employment or staying in a job isn't always straightforward. Sometimes, what makes all the difference is having someone who listens, understands your circumstances and helps you find a way forward.

That's why we're so pleased to welcome Connect to Work to the Hub. With free, personalised, one-to-one employment support, this programme brings another important piece of the puzzle into our community, connecting people not just to jobs, but to confidence, opportunities and the wider support they need to thrive.

That's what Citizen Hub is all about. Bringing people, partners and opportunities together under one roof, making support easier to find and access.

A huge thank you to CPSL Mind, Cambridgeshire County Council, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, and all our partners and everyone who joined us to mark the occasion.

And a special shout-out to Moore's Walk Café for the lovely food they prepared for us. Nothing brings people together quite like good food and good conversation! 💚

Here's to more collaboration, more opportunities and more people finding their way forward.

When we work together, more becomes possible. đź’š

Tomorrow, we’re opening another door to opportunity in St Neots. 💚

On Wednesday 7 October, 10am to 12pm, Connect to Work will be available through Citizen Hub, offering free, personalised support for people who may be finding it difficult to start, return to or stay in employment.

We’re proud to be one of the local partners bringing this support into the heart of our community.

Sometimes finding your way into work isn’t about being told where the jobs are. It’s about having someone understand where you are, what might be getting in the way and what the right next step could look like.

Connect to Work starts with you, not the job advert.

What does purpose look like for you? ✨

Sometimes we’re so busy getting through the day that we don’t get much time to think about what actually matters to us, where we’re heading, or what we’d like the next chapter to look like.

Every Friday at 12pm, Karyn Nash will be at Citizen Hub for Finding Your Purpose, creating a warm, practical space to pause, reflect and explore those questions.

Drawing on her background in psychology, coaching, positive psychology and menopause coaching, Karyn will help you find a little more clarity, reconnect with what matters to you and explore what gives you a sense of purpose.

No pressure to arrive with the answers. That’s rather the point. 💚

Creating safer communities starts with better conversations.

This October, Citizen Hub St Neots will be welcoming Lex for an Anti-Misogyny Workshop, exploring how we can better identify, challenge and prevent misogynistic behaviour.

There will be two sessions on Friday 30 October: 9am–12pm for 16–25 year olds
1pm–4pm for teachers and community leaders

It’s an opportunity to learn, ask questions and build greater confidence around challenging behaviours that can affect people in our schools, workplaces and communities.

For places and further information, please contact [email protected].

And if you’re an organisation, community group or individual with an idea that could benefit people locally, we’d love to hear from you too.

Citizen Hub is always open to new partnerships and collaborations that bring useful conversations, opportunities and experiences into the heart of our community.

Some things are worth coming back for. đź’š

Last year, Maria brought a group of Spanish students learning English to our Training Room. This year, they’re back - learning, talking, laughing and making the space their own all over again.

And today, apparently, learning English also came with a tortilla feast. 🇪🇸

Tomorrow they conclude their time with us for this year, and we’ve loved having them back.

It’s a lovely reminder that our Training Room doesn’t have to be just a meeting room. It can be a classroom, a place to share cultures, a workshop, a place to teach, create, collaborate or simply bring people together.

We provide the room. You bring what makes it yours. And Maria, we hope this isn’t the last tortilla we see at Citizen Hub. 💚
