I know what some of you are thinking... and yes Kpop demon may spring to mind 😊 - but they are actually Gothic Americana or Dark Folk this is a great opportunity for you to throw off the ordinary and enlighten a darkened soul (their words)

They are incredibly talented performers and highly acclaimed, touring Europe and other countries internationally. Lucky us to have them here in South Petherton - Somerset for this one night! Very exciting!

Missing Glastonbury Festival this year?... The David Hall is proud to be part of Everywhere At Once powered by The National Lottery!

Everywhere At Once is a nationwide grassroots music festival taking place from June 26–28, 2026, spearheaded by the Music Venue Trust (MVT) and The National Lottery. It will feature over 1,200 gigs across 500+ UK grassroots venues, acting as a "festival on your doorstep" during Glastonbury's 2026 fallow year, aiming to support local venues.

Sheelanagig have been whipping up a storm of foot-stomping, roof-raising, high-energy live Folk for nigh on twenty years. With an arsenal of strings, soaring flute, pounding drums and a sprinkle of fairy dust they spin melodies that have set feet flying all across the globe. Their shows are a heady mix of raucous dance medleys and thoughtfully crafted original pieces feverishly brimming with fire, flair and finesse. Floors tremble and windows rattle in their presence; these rapturous minstrels are not to be missed under any circumstance.

Join us for a short story night of original work inspired by the theme 'Second Time Around'.

Fresh Fiction is a series of short story nights performed live by writers at The David Hall, South Petherton, Somerset. Original short stories are handpicked by a team to create an evening's entertainment celebrating the short story.

We welcome stories from writers across Somerset and surrounding counties. The evening starts at 7.30pm

Tickets £8.50 Full. £7.50 Concessions

THIS FRIDAY! The fabulous Singer Songwriter and incredibly talented guitarist ✨KATIE SPENCER✨ will be playing live at The David Hall - FRI | 12 JUNE | 8PM

Raised in the East Yorkshire flatlands on the fringes of Hull (UK), Katie Spencer’s landscape has always been that of open skies and widening rivers. It is this sense of space and movement that flows through her assured guitar style and songwriting. Her writing, and most notably her guitar playing stems from a time when the steel-stringed instrument was truly finding its voice. Katie absorbs these influences into her songwriting and with her distinctive deep vibrato and crystal-clear guitar style, she makes the music inimitably her own.

A wonderful talented musician who has played at The David Hall in previous years and has a firm following and devoted fan base. She is definitely not to be missed!

Having performed over 800 shows (and counting) since forming in 2019, and following the release of their debut album ‘Howl’ in March 2024, the duo have been featured on numerous international radio stations, being named as Americana Album of the Month on The Country Mile Radio and UK Country Radio and have received glowing reviews from AmericanaUK, Rocking Magpie, and Fatea magazine, with a Nomination for UK Duo of the year 2024 from BCMA.

They have also supported David Hall legend, the super famous Steve Knightley - Show of Hands, which has grown into a fantastic working relationship ever since.
