Twenty years on from winning the Danny Kyle Open Stage Award at Celtic Connections, Breabach remain securely ranked amongst Scotland’s most skilled & imaginative contemporary-folk acts and at the forefront of the burgeoning traditional music scene. The band unite deep roots in Highland and Island Gaelic tradition alongside progressive musical influences and has cultivated a unique sound, anchoring double bagpipes, fiddle, whistle, step-dance and song with energetic double bass and guitar accompaniment.

Versatility, love of experimentation and a willingness to push the boundaries of Scottish roots music have endured as the core values of the band over the past two decades.

With 8 critically acclaimed studio releases to date, an extensive global touring schedule which has seen them perform from the Sydney Opera House to Central Park NY and having received recognition with 6 BBC ALBA Traditional Music Awards, a 2023 German Record Critic's Award and as European Folk Group of the year finalists in the prestigious Songlines Awards, Breabach's journey shows no sign of slowing.

Alongside his spirited cousin Lily (Ruby Stokes), and loyal butler Gelert (Rupert Everett), Henry tries to carve out his own identity as the Fifth Marquess, navigating suffocating traditions, scheming relatives, and the long shadow cast by his estranged father.

TOMORROW - ✨ Honey and The Bear ✨

Honey & the Bear have been a tour de force on the UK festival circuit in recent years. The British folk and roots duo bring folklore to life with delicately interweaving vocal harmonies inside a dynamic world of songwriting. With a diverse range of sounds and textures, and rhythms that flow from the fast and furious to gentle ballads, their live performances are spirited and enthralling.

Conjuring stories in song, they tell tales of Suffolk folklore, courageous people they admire and their passion for nature which has been enchanting audiences up and down the country.

The multi-instrumentalist pair, comprised of songwriters Jon Hart (guitar, bass, bouzouki) and Lucy Hart (guitar, ukulele, bass, banjo, mandolin & percussion), are joined on-stage for this show by band guests Toby Shaer (Fiddle/Flutes/Whistles) and Archie Churchill-Moss (Melodeon) who also feature on all three Honey & The Bear studio albums.

After some uncertainty as to whether this event would go ahead, I'm pleased to announce that The Pleasure Dome Theatre Company will be performing Rosalie tonight! 🎭

This wonderful performance is the first part of a collection of events that are about people from or set as a location at spectacular National Trust Properties around England and Wales.

Rosalie' is inspired by one of Exmoor's most remarkable women, Rosalie Chichester of Arlington Court (1865-1949). Scientist, photographer, explorer, collector, and unapologetic eccentric, the play explores female identity and familial responsibility in Victorian England.

Join us for a short story night where writers weave tales with a darker edge, all in the spirit of Fright Night.

Fresh Fiction is a series of short story nights performed live by writers at The David Hall, South Petherton, Somerset. Original short stories are handpicked by a team to create an evening's entertainment celebrating the short story. We welcome stories from writers across Somerset and surrounding counties. The evening starts at 7.30pm
