Today! Information session about the New Renters' Rights Act.

💥 Please share with people you know who rent their home from a private landlord 💥

Are you renting privately in Bearwood, Smethwick, Cape Hill, or North Edgbaston or surrounding areas? Do you want to understand the new rules coming into effect?

The new Renters' Rights Act (RRA) came into force on May 1, 2026, and Bearwood Community Hub is here to ensure you know all about it - especially if you have any issues with your rented accommodation.

We are hosting two free information sessions on Thursday 11th June, at Bearwood Baptist Church (one afternoon, one evening) where you can:

• Hear directly from a Renters' Rights Act (RRA) expert about the new legislation and what it means for you.

• Speak to case support workers for a documented action plan that clearly outlines your rights and helps you know what you can challenge.

• Connect with and support fellow renters

It's Volunteers' Week, and we're taking a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make Bearwood Community Hub possible.

Every meal served, every warm welcome offered, and every activity hosted is made possible by the time, energy, kindness, and dedication of our volunteers.

Over the last six months alone, we've supported hundreds of local people, delivered thousands of moments of connection and support, and helped make our community a little stronger, one conversation, one meal, and one act of kindness at a time.

As you scroll through these slides, you'll see just some of what our volunteers have helped achieve.

To every volunteer who has given their time to support our community: thank you. We couldn't do it without you!
