Join us this Wednesday 26th August for our next Community Bike Ride. We'll be setting out from Brushstrokes at 10am to cycle on low-traffic routes (mainly alongside the canal) to the University of Birmingham. After lunch and a mosey around the university, we'll head back to Brushstrokes, with an estimated return time of 3pm. Check out the advert for more information. A big thanks to the Canal & River Trust and British Cycling for their support in this community venture.

Tomorrow (Friday 21st August) we'll be twinning up with the bodacious Black Country Touring to screen another great film. This time we'll be sitting down to watch Souleymane's Story. We'll have refreshments available from 5:30pm with the film starting at 6pm. Come along if you can, and please spread the word. All our community film evenings are completely free of charge, and there's a rumour that samosas are on the menu tomorrow.

The Brushstrokes Cricketers had a great time yesterday, basking in the Smethwick sun at West Smethwick Park nets. The awesome Birmingham Phoenix kits that we received, courtesy of Edgbaston Stadium, made us all bowl a little bit faster and hit the ball a little bit further!! An enormous thanks to Warwickshire Cricket Foundation for their recent donation of Birmingham Phoenix kit and cricket equipment. This will be a massive support to our weekly cricket sessions at West Smethwick Park, as well as the wider Brushstrokes community. Here are a couple of our team receiving the donation at Edgbaston Stadium from Esther and Freya. Our cricket sessions are every Thursday at 11am-1pm at West Smethwick Park nets.

Join us on our bike ride!!! In a couple of weeks we've got our next Community Bike Ride, and this time we'll be cycling alongside the canal to the University of Birmingham. Our friendly rides are at a leisurely pace and follow flat and low-traffic routes. Check out the advert for more information.
