Grassington Hub Community Hub providing a wide range of services to residents, local organisations, and visitors to Grassington and the communities of Upper Wharfedale.

Grassington Hub & Community Library is a volunteer led community hub situated in the heart of Grassington. It’s used by 800 people a year on over 10,500 occasions, and offers a place for both residents and visitors to access help, support and information, photocopying and office services, or just have a chat. Our open access and targeted well-being activities include monthly community lunches, com

munity shopping or leisure trips, knit and natter groups, men’s shed, book clubs, and a home library service for housebound and other users.

We've had a lovely fortnight celebrating all our volunteers. We'd like to give a Big Thank You! to everyone who volunteers for us. There are too many of you for us to mention you all individually. Thank you to our befrienders, cinema helpers, book shop helpers, receptionists, library helpers, home library volunteers, lunch club organisers and helpers, Friday Hub helpers, men's shed committee members, and every one else. 🤝🙌💛

We'd like to give a Big Thank You! to the Grassington Lunch Club lead by Jean and Hanne with amazing support and commitment from a team of fifteen volunteers.
Grassington Lunch club began in November 2016 and has been providing a monthly two-course home-cooked lunch ever since, for up to 40 guests each time. Many of the current lunch club volunteers have been involved from the very beginning.

We'd like to give a Big Thank you! To The Friday Hub team of eight volunteers lead by Trustee Lyndsey. The photo shows Sue who runs the exercise sessions and organiser Lyndsey.
The Friday Hub well-being café started in January 2023, and takes place the second and last Friday afternoons of each month at Church House.
The café provides fun, friendship and laughter, and various activities including arts and crafts, jigsaws, board games and chess and light chair-based exercise.

The Summer Reading Challenge 2026 starts on 4th July. The challenge invites children aged 4 - 11 to embark on an exciting reading journey over the summer holiday. This year’s theme, Read to the Beat!, celebrates the joy of music and the power it has to move, inspire, and connect us – all through the magic of reading. This year’s Challenge is brought to life with illustrations by award-winning author and illustrator, Harry Woodgate.

Thank You to the community members who run Grassington Men's Shed, lead by Hub Trustee Neil. Pictured are Rona, Richard, Malcolm and Stan.
Grassington Men's Shed started as an idea in 2018 and took off in 2020. The Shed is involved in many community projects, making, helping and repairing for our community where they can .
The Shed's aim is to improve mental health and to provide a social setting for friends old and new, whilst staying physically and mentally fitter for longer. 🤝🙌💛
