Paul McCooey, Chair, Skegness Neighbourhood Board said: “This endorsement from government is fantastic news and it means that we can now move forward with delivering for Skegness.
“I would like to thank everyone who has helped to create this plan, which is testament to what can be achieved through working together with board members, partners, stakeholders, and crucially, the community.
Councillor Steve Kirk, East Lindsey District Council Portfolio Holder for Coastal Economy, said: “This is fantastic news for Skegness and a huge step forward for our community.
“The Government’s endorsement gives us real momentum as we move from planning into delivery, ensuring this long term investment can begin making a visible difference across our town.
“Our Pride in Place plan is rooted in what residents have told us they want to see, and this support means we can now focus on creating a cleaner, safer, more vibrant Skegness people feel rightly feel proud to live, work and visit.”
Richard Tice, MP for Boston and Skegness said: “This is excellent news for Skegness and a significant step forward for our community. We must now move from plans into delivery, ensuring this long-term investment begins to make a real and visible difference across the town.
“The Pride in Place plan is built on what local people have said they want to see. The focus now must be on delivering a cleaner, safer and more vibrant Skegness - one that residents can be proud to call home, and that continues to attract visitors and support local businesses.”
