30th Anniversary time!

Monday 31st August - If you're at a loose end, come help us celebrate D6732's 30 years of working trains on the North Norfolk Railway PLC

D6732 will work 4 round trips (1015 first departure from Sheringham) exactly 30 years since the loco's first public service on the NNR.

Photos show 37032, as the loco was then, in red stripe railfreight livery working out of Sheringham on 31 August 1996 (photo courtesy of Al Pulford) and as D6732 in the loco's now more familiar green livery approaching Weybourne.

The NNR has returned to normal running today following a period of high fire risk. Which means that diesels still figure though as it's the Festival on Rails event through to Bank Holiday Monday 31st August!

Either D5631 or D6732 will be working 4 return trips from Sheringham each day, starting with the 1015 departure.

The high fire risk timetable continues until at least Friday this week.

D6732 will be out on Monday and Tuesday

D5631 on Wednesday

D6732 on Thursday and Friday.

D6732 is booked out tomorrow (Sunday) on 5 round trips starting at 1030. D5631 also running aswell.

The NNR's high fire risk timetable has been extended through to at least Friday 21st August.

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th will see D6732 holding the fort on the Sheringham to Holt services. 5 return trips, starting with 1030 departure from Sheringham.

Late gen, for which we apologise, today (12th) and Thursday 13th should see D5631 working the diesel services on the NNR. 5 return trips on offer, first departure from Sheringham 1030.

D6732 is currently scheduled to work services on Friday 14th.

Once the high fire risk has been reviewed later this week, we'll advise of further diesel loco workings.

LATE UPDATE. We have just been informed that D5631 is required on shed today and tomorrow for some work so D6732 is covering Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August. A further update will be posted later to confirm allocations for the rest of the week.

The high fire risk timetable continues for another week, details of which can be found at www.nnrailway.co.uk

D5631 will be working the diesel hauled full line services on Monday 10th, and Tuesday 11th, with D6732 taking over for the rest of the week through to Friday 14th.

Services from Saturday 15th onwards will be advertised towards the end of the week after a review of the high fire risk status.

A rare outing in natural light for Class 11 12131 during a shunt of the sheds today that included restacking the line that has been temporarily out of action for trackwork repairs.
