🕯️💙 A LITTLE RELAXATION AT THE BIG COMMUNITea 💙🕯️

Today we welcomed the lovely Victoria, who came in to lead a wonderful and relaxing wax melt making workshop with our clients. 🥰

The centre was filled with the beautiful scents of lavender and ginger as everyone got creative and made their own unique wax melts!

Victoria very kindly brought burners for anyone who didn’t have one at home, along with tealights to complete the set. Such a thoughtful touch! 💙

It was a lovely opportunity to slow down, get creative, learn a new skill and simply enjoy some relaxing time together.

Thank you so much, Victoria, for bringing your creativity and kindness into the centre. We absolutely loved it! 🥰💙

UPDATE: Woman has been found! We want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped us the woman came into the store today and paid for this bike!

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP IDENTIFYING THIS WOMAN 🚨

We are absolutely DISGUSTED that someone has walked into our charity shop and stolen one of our bikes.

This isn’t a big corporation. We are a charity. Every single item donated to us is there to raise money to support our community and the people who rely on our services.

Taking this bike isn’t just “taking a bike”. You have stolen money directly from a non profit organisation and taken funds away from the people and causes we work incredibly hard to support.

We work tirelessly to raise every penny, our volunteers give their time for free, and our community donates items to help us continue what we do. To then have someone walk in and simply take something is absolutely despicable.

We are also reviewing the circumstances and will be taking the appropriate steps regarding the theft.

If you know her, please tell her to return the bike.

🐶🐾 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐾🐶

What better way to celebrate than with homemade dog treats, games and plenty of fun! 🥰

Our clients got stuck in with baking some delicious treats for our four legged friends, while also playing games and learning new skills along the way.

Activities like this are about so much more than having fun. They give our clients the opportunity to develop confidence, communication, teamwork and practical skills, all while enjoying themselves in a relaxed and supportive environment. 💙

A pawsome day all round! 🐾💙

🏊‍♀️💙 WEEKLY SWIM TIME! 💙🏊‍♀️

Our clients had another fantastic weekly swim at the leisure centre! Swimming is not only great for keeping active, but it can also be brilliant for our mental health and wellbeing.

Getting out, being active, spending time together and having a bit of fun can make such a difference to how we feel. It’s a chance to build confidence, try something new and enjoy time together outside of the centre. 🥰

We’re so proud of everyone who gets involved and keeps pushing themselves! 💙

After countless days, hundreds of miles, ridiculous hills, heat, rain, blisters and everything the South West Coast Path could throw at them… THEY MADE IT TO LAND’S END! 🎉🙌

And look at those celebrations! 🥹🍻 What an incredible achievement and what a way to finish one hell of a journey.

Craig has walked all the way from John o’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for mental health, and we’d LOVE to hit our £10,000 target so we can celebrate even more on this incredible achievement with him and the gang! 💚

🚨 HE’S DONE IT! 🚨

Craig has officially made it from John o’ Groats to Land’s End… ALL BY FOOT! 🥹💪🏻

85+ days. Hundreds of miles. Mountains, cliffs, heat, rain, brutal terrain and some seriously tough days… but he kept putting one foot in front of the other and made it all the way to the finish line! 🥾🍄

What an incredible achievement. We couldn’t be prouder of Craig and everything he has pushed through to get here. ❤️
