👏Thanks to everyone that responded to our survey, as part of the Local Place Plan process. 👏

📈We received 37 survey responses and the web page had over 1000 unique visitors.
👍On the whole, the responses have confirmed what the public voted for over the past 8 years, and support for the newer projects being pursued in Scalloway at present. With some minor amendments the Local Place Plan can now be submitted to the Shetland Islands Council Planning Department for adoption to become part of the planning application process. All comments received that don't fit into planning and development matters will be considered separately.

There’s still time to apply for Tier 3 funding, with grants available from £200 to £15,000.

This fund supports community‑focused or charitable activities that:
• Sustain and develop the local community
• Represent good value for money
• Show strong community involvement
• Are financially viable
• Can be delivered Shetland‑wide

Have your say on Scalloway's Local Place Plan 📋
Scalloway was the first place in Shetland — and one of the first in Scotland — to have a Local Place Plan. It's now being updated to meet new planning law, and it's built on everything you told us through Re-Create Scalloway and Destination Scalloway.
Before we submit the final version to Shetland Islands Council on 31 October, we want to check we've still got it right — and hear if anything's changed.
