Cats Protection, Framlingham & Saxmundham

Cats Protection, Framlingham & Saxmundham Framlingham and Saxmundham branch of Cats Protection covering postcode areas IP12 to IP23 We neuter feral cats and help feed colonies on a regular basis.

We have a dedicated band of fosterers, who maintain cat pens in their gardens and give their time unconditionally to the rehabilitation and care of all the stray and unwanted cats and kittens that pass through our branch. We run regular neutering campaigns where we offer free neutering to people on low incomes and Income Support. We offer advice to the public on the care of cats and kittens and ha

ve an extensive range of leaflets about all aspects of cats, care and ailments. We attend fundraising events throughout the year, the Suffolk Show being our largest. The stalls are run by our dedicated volunteers and our coffee mornings are very popular. We run a sponsorship scheme for "special needs" cats who have to stay in our care for many years due to ongoing health problems. We run a Golden Oldie scheme whereby our elderly or hard to home cats can be homed in a permanent home rather than stay in a foster pen. We pay the vets bills for any ongoing medical problem which they had whilst in our care. We also run a Lost and Found register.

The beautiful fluffy tortoise is Rainbow, with her new friend Felix. She came to us last November with 3 tiny kittens, she'd been living in gardens and it was very cold. Luckily caring neighbors contacted us.
Rainbow was poorly, miserable, her mouth was very sore and infected, she must have been in a lot of pain. After a month we took her kittens away as she wasn't well enough to care for them, although she'd been feeding them. She then had to have quite a few teeth removed. This op transformed her, suddenly she was a much happier cat, great to see. Meanwhile her kittens were thriving.

Now Rainbow is loving her new life. Her 3 kittens are all happily homed. See Cherry and Parsnip who are together. A much deserved happy ever after for lovely Rainbow.😻

Just like us, our cats can be affected by warmer weather. While they may enjoy lying in sunny spots, there is such a thing as too warm, even for a cat!

This wonderful little family of 11‑week‑old siblings – Larkin, Pushkin, Snickett, Shelley, and Byron – are looking for their new start in life. They are all friendly, confident, and beautifully socialised. Byron is a little more reserved than her siblings, but she blossoms with reassurance from her sister Shelley, and the two of them can often be found playing together. For this reason, we would ideally like Byron to be homed with one of her siblings. These kittens should be fine living with other cats, as well as gentle, cat‑experienced dogs. They are everything you’d hope for in kittens — adorable, cheeky, playful, and always ready for a cuddle.
Home requirements:
- A safe location away from busy roads
- Access to a secure garden
- Let us know how many kittens you could offer a loving home.
If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via the ENQUIRY button on their web page, and tell us how many of the kittens you could welcome into your family: https://www.cats.org.uk/framandsax -65513

Calling all cat lovers! We urgently need more volunteer fosterers to care for the many cats and kittens being brought into our branch. If you have a spare room or space in your garden for a cabin, and a big heart, you can give a cat a safe place to prepare them for their new start in life.

Our friendly team of volunteers would love you to join us at our Framlingham & Saxmundham branch. We are currently looking for both indoor and outdoor fosterers. Indoor fostering requires a dedicated room within the house if you have other pets, or, whole house fostering is a possibility if you have no other pets. For outdoor fostering a cabin or cabins are provided for er****on in a garden. All food and equipment are provided, and full training, support and advice will be given. Use of a car is essential. We look forward to hearing from you soon for an informal chat and more information, on 01728 723499.
