We've been asked to share this with parents:

St Helens Local Authority was notified on 26 October that it will be subject to an Ofsted ILACS (Inspection of Local Authority Children's Services) short inspection, with inspectors onsite from Monday 2 November.
This is a routine inspection activity. Short inspections are carried out in local authorities that were previously judged to be performing well. St Helens was judged to be Good, with some aspects of our services recognised as Outstanding, and a short inspection is the expected next step within Ofsted's inspection framework.
The purpose of the inspection is for inspectors to review how effectively children's services continue to support children, young people and families, and to determine whether services remain at least Good. As part of this process, inspectors may seek the views and experiences of partners, practitioners, children, young people and families to help understand the impact of services across the local area.
St Helens Local Authority know that many families represented through Listen 4 Change have direct experience of education, health and care services in St Helens. Whilst there is no action required at this stage, they wanted to ensure that families were aware of the inspection and understood its purpose.

A new programme launching in St Helens - EmployAble, delivered by Vibe UK Org, is an eight-week personal, social and emotional development programme designed to help young people build confidence, resilience and the practical skills needed to move into employment, education or training.

Expressions of Interest for our commissioned project have now closed.

We'd like to thank everyone who applied, shared the opportunity or helped spread the word.

It's encouraging to see so much interest in supporting Listen4Change and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND across St Helens.
