This week our Craft & Chat group got seasonal, with a pumpkin floral craft session. 🎃🍂 Look at these gorgeous creations!

There’s something about autumn that makes you want to slow down, get cosy and make something with your hands. But as ever, it wasn’t only about the crafting. It was the chatting, the laughing, the sharing, and a little mindfulness and time to reconnect with yourself, away from everything else going on.

Craft & Chat runs every Tuesday at 1.30pm at Chrysalis Centre, and everything you need is provided. Whether you come to craft, to chat, or just to sit with a cuppa and see how it feels, you’d be so welcome.

It's Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, and if you've ever left an abusive relationship and gone back, or know someone who has, this one's for you.

Leaving isn't always one decision made once. For many women, it happens in stages, with steps back along the way, and that doesn't make you naive. It makes you human, up against someone skilled at manipulation.

Share this with someone who needs to hear it. And if it's speaking to you directly, you can self-refer, or come back to us as many times as it takes. Whatever stage you're at, we're here, without judgement.

Get ready for a festive afternoon of fun and fundraising! Join us for our Christmas Bingo & Quiz on Friday 11 December, 1-3pm, at Chrysalis Centre. Bring friends, family or colleagues for bingo, a festive quiz and a cake sale, all while raising funds to support women in our community.

We know how much you've had to put in to get to where you are now. If you've rebuilt, this is for you: the boundaries you built, the voice you found again, the quiet joy of a life that's finally yours. You did that.

If you're still at an earlier stage of that journey, this is for you too: that same life is possible, and you don't have to build it alone.

This Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, let's talk about the forms of abuse that don't leave a mark.

Being controlled financially and having to ask permission to spend your own money. Being put down constantly, in ways that chip away at how you see yourself. Being spoken to in a way you'd never accept from anyone else. Being isolated from the people who love you, one relationship at a time.

None of this is "not that bad." It's abuse, and it deserves support just as much as anything visible.
