You may start to see some fences around the outer beds. These are only to provide some protection . The field is used by many people including dog walkers. Some dogs enjoy a roam,so we are popping these fences along the outer beds to protect the plants.
All that is grown in these beds is still free to be picked by anyone, so please do come along and help yourself.
There’s not too much ready at the moment but the raspberries and strawberries are coming along nicely as are gooseberries. We also havecourgettes , beans, peas and kohl rabi as well as lettuce and herbs growing. C
Come along and have a look, help your self to what is ready. We hope you enjoy it

This is me every year

People entirely panic when June arrives and their vegetable beds are still half empty. They assume they've missed the boat and the summer season is already a write-off. The truth is, the soil has finally reached a decent temperature and things will actually grow instead of just sitting there sulking in the damp. Getting certain seeds in the ground now is exactly what your garden needs for a strong late-summer harvest.

The weather is gorgeous at the moment. Definitely a welcomed change from the very dark grey days of early spring. But it does bring with it the worry of keeping your plants alive. What are the most successful ways of watering , you have found, in beautiful weather? Is there a better time of day? Does mulching work? It would be great to read all
Your ideas below.

Yes it was chilly and at times quite wet, but we had a great time chatting and sowing seeds in the polytunnel.

I shall be at the garden from 6-730pm. If it’s raining you can find me sowing seeds in the warmth of the polytunnel. Company always welcomed.
