🚒💛 Thank You Newry Branch NIFRS Fire Cadets 💛🚒

We would like to say a sincere thank you to the Newry Branch of NIFRS Fire Cadets for their fantastic donation of £750, raised through a pub quiz held in October 2025.

The cheque was formally presented to Life & Time Nurse Teresa McKinley at the Cadets’ Presentation Ceremony on 31st May at Newry Fire Station. It was a privilege to attend and to see the pride and commitment shown by the cadets and their leaders.

Pictured is Eugene Quinn, Chairperson of the Newry Branch of NIFRS Cadets , along with some of the cadets who helped organise and support the event.

We are very grateful to Rory Dumigan and all involved for choosing Life & Time as one of their beneficiary charities this year. Support like this helps our locally based nurses continue providing out-of-hours end-of-life care to patients and families in their own homes across South Down.

💍💛 Congratulations Cerri & Shaun 💛💍

We would like to send our warmest congratulations to Cerri Tinnelly and Shaun Dickson, who were married at the weekend in beautiful Rostrevor.

Instead of wedding favours for their guests, Cerri and Shaun chose to make a meaningful donation to our EOLC Nursing Service. We are truly grateful for their kindness and for thinking of Life & Time as part of such a special occasion.

It means a great deal to be included, even in a small way, on their big day. Their generosity will help our locally based nurses continue providing care and reassurance to families in their own homes across South Down.

We wish The Dicksons every happiness, health and joy in their future life together. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and support. 💛

We wish all the young Performers, Creative Production team and patrons all the very best for a wonderful production of Cinderella. We thank them for their fundraising efforts.

🌟We are delighted to announce that our Cinderella production on the 27th June this year will be supporting the Life & Time charity. All raffle and programme sales sold on the day will go to the charity, and we’re kindly asking for raffle prize donations to help us raise as much as possible.🌟

By supporting Life & Times, who provide vital end of life care in our community, we’re giving our young dancers the opportunity to give something back to the families who rely on this incredible service.

We’re proud to stand behind a charity that makes such a meaningful difference close to home, and we look forward to raising awareness and support on the day .

💛 Congratulations Bernie Farrell 💛

We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Bernie Farrell on being named Runner-Up in the Team Manager Award at this year’s RCN Northern Ireland Awards .

Bernie has been an integral part of our WBR team since 2021, and we are thrilled to see her management skills recognised at national level.

In her substantive role as Community Services Manager with Evora Hospice Care, Bernie continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership. Her nomination described her as:

“An exceptional team manager who motivates and develops her staff, demonstrates strong leadership, and has raised the standard of care across the service. Her influence is evident in the confidence of her team, the quality of care delivered, and the trust placed in the service by patients and families.”

Those words reflect what we see every day. Bernie’s commitment, professionalism and support for her colleagues make a real difference to both teams and families.

🎉💛 Happy 90th Birthday Lelia! 💛🎉

A very special birthday wish to Lelia McCartan, who celebrated her wonderful 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends at Warrenpoint Golf Club on 16th May.

Instead of gifts, Lelia and her family kindly invited donations to Life & Time, raising an amazing £750 plus €50 in support of our service. What a thoughtful way to mark such a milestone.

We are truly grateful to Lelia and her family for thinking of our end-of-life nursing team. Their generosity will help us continue providing care and reassurance to families in their own homes across South Down during the night.

🏅💛 Congratulations to Team Mourne! 💛🏅

A huge congratulations to the fantastic Mourne team who took part in the VHI Mini Marathon in Dublin today to raise funds for Life & Time.

Well done to:
Judith Gordon, Emily Newell, Claire Murphy, Kerrie Rooney, Aoife Martin and Tessa Murphy.

While not all of the team work with Life & Time, we are especially proud that Claire Murphy, one of our Mourne nurses, was among those taking on the challenge. Together, this brilliant group gave their time and energy to support local end-of-life care.

We are so grateful to each of you for representing our community and raising vital funds for our out-of-hours nursing service.
