She Plays, She Heals: Empowering women through sport and support.

She Plays, She Heals is a safe play cricket program designed specifically for women. Using a trauma-informed approach, this initiative uses cricket not just as a sport, but as a supportive network to help move women from crisis support toward sustained recovery in a welcoming, women-only environment.

Purpose: Empowering survivors of domestic abuse through community, movement, and healing.

Locations Across East London: Marks Gate Open Space, Valence Park, Barking Park, Mayesbrook Park, Parsloes Park, and Eastbrook End Country Park.

How to Join: Secure your spot by emailing [email protected] or sending a WhatsApp message to 07448057268.

Together, we are stronger, safe, supported, and unstoppable.

Big hearts and big plans. Feeling inspired after the Big Heart Food Hub launch. 💚🍽️

The BIG Heart Food Hub is East London’s largest food redistribution hub delivering up to 10 tonnes of food to the community voluntary sector across Barking and Dagenham with the purpose of reducing food waste and health inequalities whilst increasing access to good quality healthy food.

We are thrilled to receive a £500 grant award from the Asda Foundation via Asda for our Marks Gate Relief Project initiative:

Growing Connections: Intergenerational Allotment & Community Food Project! 💚

This wonderful funding will help us bring generations together—pairing local teenagers with older residents to build friendships, share skills, and grow fresh produce in our community allotment. Everything harvested goes directly to our cooking club and community soup kitchen to provide fresh, healthy meals for local families while tackling isolation and food poverty.

A massive thank you to Asda Foundation and the team Shahla Kanwal at Asda Chadwell Heath for supporting our community! 🤝✨
