King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity aims to improve the hospital experience for patients, families and staff.

Whilst the NHS provides funding for the necessities, King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity funds projects which enhance the hospital experience for patients, visitors and staff at both Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George Hospital, Ilford.

This week, we unveiled the newly refreshed garden at King George Hospital, and even the rain couldn’t stop us from celebrating!

The garden has been transformed thanks to the fantastic support of CBRE. Their team volunteered their time and expertise to transform the space, adding new and improved benches, refreshed plant pots and new paving, as well as tidying up and replenishing the plants. 🌻

The garden is now a welcoming outdoor space for staff, patients and families to enjoy - somewhere to get some fresh air, take a moment and spend time together.

It’s a great example of what can be achieved when our charity and corporate partners come together to improve the hospital environment.

A huge thank you to the CBRE team and everyone involved in bringing the garden back to life.💛

WEST HAM LEGENDS ARE BACK! ⚒️
Our charity ambassador and former Hammer Geoff Pike is teaming up with E13 Events for another very special West Ham Legends Evening - and this time, it’s all about Champions 81!

Celebrating 45 years since West Ham United won the 2nd Division Title, Geoff will be joined by Sir Trevor Brooking, Alan Dickens, Bobby Barnes, Ev Le Ronde and Paul Allen for an evening of stories, memories, laughter and behind-the-scenes tales from their time in claret and blue.

And, most importantly, the evening is raising funds for King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity. 💛

🪂 Charlie did it again!

Our incredible fundraiser Charlie was back in the skies on Sunday - completing his third skydive for King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity!

We caught up with Charlie before he jumped to see how he was feeling… and then again once he was safely back on the ground!

Queen’s Hospital is turning 20! 💛

To celebrate this special milestone, we’re bringing people together for an evening of festive music, wonderful school choirs and Christmas cheer - while saying a very big thank you to everyone who has been part of Queen’s journey over the past 20 years.

He’s doing it again! ✈️🪂

Our regular fundraiser Charlie is back with another daredevil challenge – and this time, he’s jumping out of a plane!

At 78 years old, Charlie clearly isn’t letting fear get in the way. On Sunday 4th October, he’ll be taking the plunge and skydiving to raise money for our charity.

Charlie takes on a new thrill-seeking fundraising challenge for us every year, and we’re always amazed by his determination to give back to his local hospitals. 💛
