Why do people join Renfrew Community Council?

For Jonathan, it was simple.

“Renfrew is where my family and I call home, and where my son will grow up. That makes it worth taking an interest in the future of the town and playing a part in shaping it.”

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories from members of Team Renfrew and why they chose to get involved in their community.

Because moving Renfrew forward isn’t about one person or one organisation. It’s about local people coming together to make a positive difference.

Let’s Move Renfrew Forward Together.

Today, Renfrew Community Council launches its Let’s Move Renfrew Forward Together initiative - focused on community pride, participation and the future of our town.

Renfrew is full of people who care. People who volunteer, support local causes, look out for their neighbours and take pride in the place we call home.

That community spirit is one of our greatest strengths and we want to build on it.

Let’s Move Renfrew Forward Together.

Great to be out in the community today at the Arkleston Primary School Summer Fayre.

Our stall gave us the opportunity to speak with local families, listen to their ideas and concerns, and share more about the work of Renfrew Community Council.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat – it was fantastic to meet so many people and hear what matters most to our community.

🌿 Renfrew’s Best Garden Contest 2026 is now open!

We’re looking for the best gardens and growing spaces across Renfrew — and the winner will receive a £200 cash prize.

You don’t need a huge garden to take part. Front gardens, back gardens, shared gardens, balconies, patios, yards, planters and window boxes all count.

Entries are open until 5 July 2026.

To enter, simply upload a photo of your garden or growing space using the entry form here:
https://renfrewcommunityco.wixforms.com/f/7448749109806106305

One entry per household.

If you cannot upload photos, cannot take photos yourself and do not have anyone who can help, please email Renfrew Community Council at [email protected] or [email protected] to ask about an assisted entry.

Let’s celebrate the people making Renfrew bloom. 🌸
