Hello and Good Morning, A Huge Thank You to all the Teams and Everyone that Came to the WFS Quiz Night on Saturday and helped to make it a Great Evening. Congratulations to the Winners Pauline's Angels and the Runners up by just 3 points Jill &The Boys. We Thank you all for your Support to raise funds to put on the Writhlington Village Flower Show and Fete 15th August 2026. We hope to see you all in August.

The Chairman and Committee would like to Thank Everyone who braved the weather and came to the Writhlington Flower Show Jumble Sale Yesterday. We hope you all bagged a bargain or two and enjoyed your rummage. We were kept very busy and we Thank you for your support and helping us to raise money towards the cost of this years village Flower Show. We also say a Big Thank you to everyone who took the time to de-clutter and Donate their unwanted items and jumble, it's much appreciated. We also say a Big Thank you to our volunteers and helpers yesterday, Lindsay and John, Jo, Andrea, Caroline, and of course Matthew. Our Next Fundraising Event is our Spring Quiz Night on Saturday 21st March.

Morning Everyone, don't forget The Writhlington Flower Show Jumble Sale tomorrow, there will be plenty of Bargains, Household, Books, Clothes, Bric-Brac, But Sorry we can't do anything about the WEATHER, just wear Wellies and Bring a Brolly, oh and a shopping bag. Hope to see you all Tomorrow.

The Chairman and Committee were very sorry to hear the news that our oldest Life President Mrs Margery Windle sadly passed away on New Years Day aged 99yrs. Margery had grown up with and known the Flower Show all her life as her Father was Chairman for many years. Margery for some of us who can remember, was well known in the Village as probably the first mobile hairdresser. She could be seen walking(running if late for an appointment) from one end of the village to the other, popping in and out of houses ( no locked doors then) with her bags of hairdressing equipment and Portable Hair Dryer. Many Ladies of the Village with a Toni Permanent Wave, Pin Curl or even the odd Blue Rinse. Mrs Windle's Funeral is on Wednesday 4th February 11-30am at The Mendip Crematorium Shepton Mallet and afterwards the Wake will be held at The Fromeway. The Chairman, Committee and all at Writhlington Flower Show send our Sincere Condolences to the Family and Friends of Margery.
