Our U15s Manager, Laura Price, was invited to the England Rugby Volunteer Recognition Programme Awards at Wi******er RFC last night. She was nominated for the Unsung Hero Award by parents within her group. With over 2,900 volunteers across Hampshire, it is a fantastic honour to be one of just 80 volunteers receiving recognition.

This was her team’s nomination letter:

“We nominate Laura Price for Volunteer of the Year in Hampshire RFU. She’s the heart and soul of our Under 15s team at Portsmouth Rugby Club!

Kind, highly skilled, organised beyond belief, and always one step ahead, Laura keeps everything running smoothly both on and off the pitch. She genuinely cares about every player and their families, making sure everyone feels supported, valued, and looked after.

Laura is always there with a smile, a plaster, an ice pack, and the reassurance needed to get the boys back in the game. Funny, quirky, full of fun, and endlessly dedicated, Laura brings so much positivity to the team.

Quite simply, the team wouldn’t run without her. Thank you, Laura, for everything you do – you’re an absolute superstar!”

🥪💪 When our U13s were asked if they’d be interested in taking on an eating challenge to raise money for charity, they didn’t need asking twice! 🙌❤️

So off they went to the to see if they could beat the record for finishing a ridiculous breakfast sandwich 🤯🍳🥓🥪

The challenge was taken very seriously 😅 nobody was going to be beaten by this delicious meal! Even our scrum-half refused to quit, battling on for almost an hour before finally finishing it 😂👏

It’s always great to see the boys out in the community, even when it involves a competitive eating challenge! 😆🏉

Recently, the Beavers from 1st Denmead had a fantastic time experiencing everything that Portsmouth Rugby Club had to offer. They learned new rugby skills, took part in fun games, and enjoyed sessions led by our qualified rugby coaches, who train our junior players throughout the season

Jack and Adam have gone above and beyond this year helping across other age groups and even stepping up as referees. Their efforts have been deservedly recognised with awards this season, presented by our amazing chairperson Gemma.
