Tonight we made money boxes to put all our pocket money in. We also learnt about delayed gratification. Did your beaver take 1 marshmallow at the start of the meeting or wait and have 2 at the end of the meeting? 🤔 Clue: not everyone waited 😂

This evening we started our money skills badge. We did some coin rubbing and designed our own currency. Lana decided hers would feature capybaras!! And why not 😊

We had a great evening for our delayed end of year camp. 16 of our youngsters spent a night under canvas enjoying some campfire treats including s’mores, bingo and a good old fashioned singsong. Such a great experience to develop their independence and survival skills. We also held a little prize giving:

A big thank you to our Scout buddy Scotty for helping us with our adult ratios 🙏🏻. Everybody should be very proud of themselves and we are looking forward to the new Scout year ⚜️🍡🔥🏕️

This evening our Cubs and Beavers returned to the hall to help prepare for our overnight camp this weekend. We also completed a few Scouting challenges to help remind everyone of the basics. Our Cubs supported the younger Beavers by helping them complete the tasks and everyone displayed fantastic teamwork and collaboration…a great sign for the year ahead ⚜️🦫🐻

Washing, peeling, chopping done. Fruit skewers and yoghurt eaten. Washing up, cleaning up and brushing up. Cooks badge started 🧑‍🍳

We had a brilliant time at our annual beaver Rally. The rain stayed off and the children had so much fun! Each and every one was a pleasure to be with. We will all sleep well tonight 💤
