🎒 Sponsor a Backpack – Help Local Children Start School Ready to Learn 🎒

Over the coming days, we'll be delivering letters to local businesses across the community asking for their support with our new Sponsor a Backpack Campaign.
Many families are finding the cost of school uniforms and supplies increasingly difficult to manage, and we want to help ensure that local children and young people have the essentials they need to start the new school year with confidence.
For £30, a sponsored backpack will be filled with useful school items such as stationery, notebooks, mathematical equipment, a calculator and other everyday essentials. Businesses can choose to sponsor one backpack or several, depending on what they are able to contribute.
Every sponsored backpack will go directly towards supporting children and families in our local area, helping to remove some of the financial pressure that many face at this time of year.
If you're a local business and receive one of our letters, we hope you'll consider getting involved. If you'd like to support the campaign but don't receive a letter, please feel free to get in touch with us directly.
Together, we can make sure local children have the best possible start to the new school year. 💛

💜 Mums Matter Support Group at Cariad 💜
We’re pleased to share that Angharad from Mind NPT will be joining us at Cariad on Thursday 4th June at 9:30am, to hold their Mums Matter support group.
Becoming a mum can bring lots of emotions, and it’s not always as easy as people expect. Mums Matter is a friendly, relaxed group for new mums who may be in need of a little support.
The group offers a safe space to chat and connect with others experiencing similar feelings, and receive support in a welcoming environment.
Please feel free to come along or share with anyone you think may benefit. Contact Angharad via the details on the poster to reserve a place 💜

🌟We need your help🌟

Our local families are running low on essentials, and we’re asking for donations of:
♡ Nappies: Sizes 5, 6 and 7
♡ Baby changing mats: Must be in excellent condition, clean and wipeable
♡Children’s clothes: New, for ages 3–5 years

Donations will be gratefully received at the centre between 10am and 1pm on Wednesdays or Saturdays, or if you're unable make it then, please get in touch and we can make other arrangements.

If you can’t donate, a share goes a long way too! Thank you for helping us support little ones in Pontardawe and beyond 🙏
