Hi everyone it’s Julie here .
I run Rainbow Bridge Rescue and work at the shop RainbowBridge Equine Rescue tack shop .
I do a lot of the fundraising vet visits and everything in between.
Linda and my lovely team of volunteers are looking after the yard .
I have not been around for the last few weeks as unfortunately I was diagnosed with cancer .
I wanted to let you all know personally as I didn’t want you thinking I was relaxing on a world cruise or some luxurious holiday ignoring your message 😂.
I should have started chemo this week but have to have a procedure before hand nothing is never straight forward .
Anyway enough about me .
We don’t want to close the rescue as I believe being able to visit the horses I love and to keep helping animals in need is a great way of healing and keeping your mind busy as well as saving lots of horsey lives like our regular followers will know we always take some of the worse neglect cases .
We need to keep the rescue open please can you use the shop as much as possible always message the page to check it’s open but should hopefully still open Tuesday Friday 10-1 and Saturday 10-2 .
If anyone has a spare few hours any help is really appreciated.
We also still have vet bills rent etc to pay so whilst I am unable to do much any donations would be so much appreciated to keep us ticking over .
This is not a sympathy message just I wanted to be as honest as I could be and let you all know what’s happening.
WHW in Somerset have said they will take together two of our ponies that need a lot of work .
I will be forever grateful to them as it eases the worry .
They are going on the 8th June is anyone with a box able to help from Wilmington.
Thank you all so much and hope to see you all soon.
