For almost a year now, we have been supporting and donating too local LGBTQIA+ fundraisers.
Last week in Plymouth, dozens of transgender adults were contacted to let them know that they are at risk of losing their hormone treatment, this is because of the most affordable private gender clinic no longer being supported by the GP practice.
This has left transgender people scrambling to find the money for the expensive set up and monthly fees for other private gender identity clinics, with the NHS not being an option due to the 30+ year waiting lists.
We stand with our trans community, and we will continue to donate surplus profits to your fundraisers. We have donated hundreds of pounds to local fundraisers and want to continue doing so. At all our events we have an activity such as a raffle to raise these funds, as well as selling crafts and donating up to 50% of profits from tickets or table fee sales. Seasonally, whatever we have saved up, we split between the fundraisers on our roster.
