The Music in Pinner concert series opens its 2026 programme TONIGHT at 8pm in Pinner United Synagogue with a night of “cool jazz” in tribute to one of the greats of the West Coast scene of the 1950s - Shelly Manne. Our MUSIC in PINNER winter concert series made a welcome change y’day, having a lunchtime concert, which brought in those who don’t enjoy venturing out on cold, dark nights!
The programme was suitable ‘warm & comforting’ with married couple, Fiametta Tarli & Ivo Varbanov, playing piano four hands - delightful Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms & Grieg! 🎶😊

There’s jazz 🎶MUSIC IN PINNER🎶 on October 11th 7.30pm!

The Clark Tracey Sextet will bring us Stan Tracey’s ‘UNDER MILK WOOD SUITE’, in its 60th Anniversary year. Readings from Dylan Thomas’s renowned poem, a 1953 BBC Radio Play, will be narrated by Ben Tracey and Sharon White.

To celebrate this anniversary, Stan’s son Clark (drums) has put together a sextet comprising ex Tracey members Simon Allen on saxes & Andrew Cleyndert on bass, with the exceptional pianist Gareth Williams, to perform the entire suite.

The Music in Pinner concert series begins on Saturday 20 Sept ‘25 @ 7.30pm!

A delightful concert with Milena Simovic (Viola) & George Fu (Piano). Milena entranced us a few years ago, and this is a welcome return, this time with George, a terrific pianist.

Hindemith’s early and very romantic Sonata in F opens, to be followed by a lovely arrangement of Prokofiev’s drama and lyrical music for Romeo & Juliet. In the second half, the gorgeous Rhapsody by York Bowen is paired with Schubert’s marvellous Arpeggione Sonata, written for a short-lived instrument (a cross between cello & guitar), which is ideal for viola.

The wonderful choral music of Handel, Haydn & Mozart will feature in the final concert of Pinner Music Festival 2025. 🎻

The Festival Choir and Orchestra, made up of talented local musicians and conducted by Paul Jeanes, look forward to seeing you. 🎶
