RE: CONSULTATION – Oxford (Various Locations) Proposed Parking Restrictions

We are writing to seek your views on the proposal to introduce new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions (in the form of double yellow lines) in various roads within Oxford (see notice & plans for specific locations), whilst some single yellow lines will also be introduced to apply from 8am to 6:30pm on Mondays and Fridays. The proposals are being put forward following various complaints from members of the public, City and County Councillors, local schools, and site observations by Officers.

The proposals will help prevent obstructive parking in general, parked vehicles obscuring visibility, and instances of footway parking, and in Sandford Road (Littlemore) & Oxford Road (Old Marston), the new controls are intended deter dangerous parking at school drop-off and pick up times.
The proposed Traffic Regulation Orders are scheduled to be advertised in the Oxford Times newspaper today; Thursday 04th June 2025, and details are also available to view on the Councils consultation portal at the address below:

https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/oxford_various_parking2026

As stated on the notice, any objections or other representations on the proposal should be submitted by Friday 03rd July 2026.

Our raspberries are ready and you can come and pick them from TOMORROW - Friday 5th June at 9am!

You only need to book tickets for PYO at weekends now.

We have lots at the moment, but if we do need to close them on Sunday if we're picked out, we will let you all know on here. After they get going, we expect to have raspberries full time into August. 🙌

We're delighted to see the return of one of our most popular crops. Last year lots of things happened at once to thwart us - the canes weren't quite right, frosts scuppered our planting time and we made a few human mistakes. Farming can be tough! Happily, the raspberries are back for 2026, and we are delighted for our customers!

We do have some ready-picked in the shop. Get in touch if you'd like to reserve a tray or punnets. [email protected] / 01865 358309

Book your minibus trip to Home Bargains and Cutteslowe Park. It's much cheaper than going by bus, and there are no bus changes to make. You can shop in comfort and bring everything home on the minibus, leaving the hard work to us. What's not to like?
