Oxfolk

Oxfolk Energetic dancing, excellent live music, a caller to explain the dances, friendly atmosphere. A top night out! Kennington Village Centre, near Oxford, UK.

Oxfolk Ceilidhs are friendly, fun and pleasantly exhausting. There's always a top notch live band to dance to and a caller who explains how all the dances go. You're very welcome weather you're an absolute beginner at this style of dancing or whether you've been doing it for years. These events have been going for over 30 years not only because ceilidh dancing is hugely enjoyable, but because Oxfolk has become a community of enthusiastic people who make sure that each ceilidh is a blast!

They’re telling us we can see them this Sunday in Uffington!

Just a few days now until Topette!! end their UK tour at Uffington on Sunday and you can see that just a fraction of our poultry collection are very interested and making arrangements to get themselves down to the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall.

The Rainbow Folk is led by accordianist and composer Natalie Brookes. We last saw her at Oxfolk with the band Take the Biscuit. She is joined by viola and fiddle player Beth Gifford, also of Take the Biscuit. We are delighted to see guitarist George Sansome, who you may also know from Granny's Attic. Our old friend Lisa Heywood is calling the dances. Join us for a fantastic evening!

Tickets are still availble for Sat 9 May, 8pm Kennington https://buytickets.at/oxfolkceilidhs
