Oxfolk Ceilidhs are friendly, fun and pleasantly exhausting. There's always a top notch live band to dance to and a caller who explains how all the dances go. You're very welcome weather you're an absolute beginner at this style of dancing or whether you've been doing it for years. These events have been going for over 30 years not only because ceilidh dancing is hugely enjoyable, but because Oxfolk has become a community of enthusiastic people who make sure that each ceilidh is a blast!

Did you know that we've completely got rid of disposable plastic glasses at our bar? Instead we're using these reusable plastic. We charge £1 for them, which you can get back if you bring your glass back. We're also really happy for you to bring your own reusable pint/half pint pot or tankard. This month, our draft b**r is LoveBeer Brewery's Doctor Roo (3.7%), with c***r, w**e, soft drinks also available.

This month, half-time entertainment comes from the duo Djinn and Soniq. They started as a bellydance and oboe duo, who then moved to playing harp and pipes, as that was easier to fit in the spare room. They're a fan of old music and new, and delight in cover versions of all sorts and from all time periods.

Ollie Simons is one of the most charismatic and in-demand young callers currently on the scene. He was last at Oxfolk for our 2024 sell-out ceilidh for Oxford Folk Festival, and we can't wait to see him again.
