Good luck to every finalist at this year’s Pet Industry Federation - PIF Awards.

Each of you represents one of the very best businesses in our industry. Reaching the finalist stage is an achievement, having come through a strong selection process, and you should all be immensely proud.

There can only be one winner in each category, but the evening is about much more than the trophies. It is our chance to celebrate the talent, commitment and contribution of the UK pet industry in 2026.

We are looking forward to a fantastic evening, with the formal awards ceremony hosted by Dr Scott Miller, the well-known “This Morning” TV vet, followed our big band “Seven”, dancing and a disco. There will also be fun casino games and keep an eye out for our magician!
Whatever the result on the night, we hope every finalist enjoys a very well-deserved celebration.

See you there.

I read an article today which asked a simple question of every membership organisation: would I join?

It is a useful question, and one we should never be afraid to ask and continue to as the Pet Industry Federation - PIF

Our reason for existing is straightforward: to support the businesses that care for the nation’s pets.

That means being a strong voice for our industry, providing practical support to businesses, creating valuable connections and opening up opportunities for growth.

Those are not just words on a graphic. They are the standard against which we continually judge what we do.

If owning a pet business, would I see enough value in PIF to join and remain a member?
The answer has to be yes, and it is our job to keep on earning it.

Come and visit at the Pet & Aquatic Trade Show (PATS) stand b61 or find out more and how you can join at www.petfederation.co.uk

And don’t forget: we are now representing the UK at a number of major overseas pet trade shows. Come and talk to us about the opportunities these events could create for your company, whether you are ready to export now or simply want to understand what is possible.
