Not too long to wait now until the Leuchie Lighthouse Trail launches on 1st July!

Here’s a little peek at a couple of details from the lighthouse we are sponsoring, Where Town Meets Tide, designed by illustrator Claudia Wellwood.

We cannot wait to see the full design and to tour the trail this summer in support of Leuchie, the national respite charity.

The Leuchie Lighthouse Trail is coming to North Berwick this summer.

North Berwick Trust is delighted to be a sponsor of one of the lighthouse sculptures on the trail and to support Leuchie, the national respite charity. From 1 July until 21 August, fifteen locally painted lighthouse sculptures will be lighting up our town. Watch this space to find out where the lighthouse that we are sponsoring will be located and what story it will tell. Illustrator Claudia Wellwood has been hard at work on her design, entitled Where Town Meets Tide, and we cannot wait to see the finished lighthouse. Can you guess which local landmark is taking shape in this sneak peek?

The Trust is very pleased to see the opening of the Law Path! This project strongly reflects our commitment to improving active travel, community safety and access to green space in North Berwick. We commend all partners involved for delivering a project that will bring lasting benefits to the community. North Berwick Trust supported this project with a £30,000 grant award.

A new path beside North Berwick Law providing a safer route to school for pupils has opened.
We have upgraded the uneven dirt track connecting Haddington Road to Glenburn Road with an asphalt surface.
The project, which was spearheaded by the Law Primary School Parent Council, was completed following extensive engagement and consultation with the community and stakeholder groups.
Connecting the east and west of the town, the path creates a more inclusive and attractive route to Law Primary, the Lochbridge Road Play Area, and North Berwick Sports Centre. It also provides a link between the school and residential areas, supermarkets, the Recreation Park, and the new pump track.
A range of sources provided funding, including Walking Scotland, The North Berwick Trust, the North Berwick Area Partnership, and us.
Representatives from some of the groups who helped make the project happen visited the path on Monday, 30 March. Pictured are (left to right) Hamish Wallace (Chair of The North Berwick Trust), Morag Haddow (Senior Roads Officer with East Lothian Council), Sarah Lewis (Law Primary Parent Council), Stuart McNicol (local farmer), Emily Burt (Law Primary Parent Council) with her sons, Rosie McKee (Walking Scotland), Ronnie Taylor (Law Primary Headteacher), Euan Revell (Law Primary Parent Council), Graeme Anderson (Walking Scotland).
