Surprise surprise

We have charged two men with s*xual offences involving two girls in Crawley.

Shortly before 5am on Wednesday (30 September), police received a report that two girls, aged 15 and 16, had been s*xually assaulted in a car park in Parkside, Crawley.

Officers attended and safeguarded the victims, with two 19-year-old men being subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Following further enquiries, Ali Farahang, 19, an Iraqi national of Hunter Road, Crawley, has been charged with attempted r**e and human trafficking under the Modern Slavery Act.

Adam Maina, 19, a Lebanese national of Bath Road in London, has been charged with r**e and human trafficking under the Modern Slavery Act.

Both remain in police custody at this time, ahead of a hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (3 October).

Superintendent Rachel Glenton said: “The victims will continue to receive the full support of specialist officers as the court proceedings continue.

“We are asking anyone who can help with our enquiries to report online or via 101, quoting Operation Pleat.”

RA**ST WHO CREPT INTO WOMAN’S CARAVAN AFTER ROYAL SHOW JAILED

A disgusting 32-year-old predator who sneaked into a woman’s caravan and r**ed her after the Royal Windsor Horse Show has been locked up for eight years and six months.

Ryan Dinnage, of Croydon, attacked his victim in the early hours of 16 May 2022, just hours after the final day of the Berkshire event where she had been working.

He later claimed the s*x was consensual, but digital evidence from his phone placed him at the caravan and destroyed his lies.

Charged in March 2025, he was unanimously convicted of r**e at Reading Crown Court on 8 June and sentenced on 30 July. He was cleared of two other s*xual offences.

Detective Constable Arshid Ali said the sentence reflects the seriousness of the crime and praised the victim’s courage throughout the long investigation.
