Where it all began

Support Staffordshire was established on 12 January 2015 following the historic merger of several community and voluntary services (CVS) partners across Staffordshire. We are the largest independent voice for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Staffordshire covering Lichfield & District, Tamworth, Stafford and District, Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, South Staffordshire and Staffordshire Moorlands and Newcastle under Lyme.

VCSE organisations make a significant contribution to communities and are critical to sustaining the local economy. We support the sector by providing expertise in and advice and guidance, organisational development support and training to local VCSE organisation’s across Staffordshire. As well as supporting VCSE organisation’s we also run a Volunteer Centre Service matching prospective volunteers with volunteering opportunities delivering a wide range of projects across the county.

Our focus is to empower organisations to become more independent and to promote and facilitate communities to connect with and support one another by working together. We believe than an effective and influential VCSE sector in Staffordshire enriches the lives of local people and communities.
