📢 Important Announcement
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Chesterton Youth Club will be closing its doors for the final time.
This decision has not been taken lightly, after much reflection, we believe now is the right time.
Like so many community-led projects, we’ve been feeling the strain of rising costs, limited resources, and the ongoing challenges of securing sustainable funding. Despite our best efforts, it has simply become too difficult to keep things going in the way our young people deserve.
First and foremost, our deepest thanks go to the incredible staff and volunteers who have given up countless hours to serve the community. Their dedication has made Chesterton a safer, more vibrant place for young people to grow, learn, and create lasting memories. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and will be remembered for years to come.
To the thousands of young people who have walked through our doors since March 1969, thank you. You are the heartbeat of this youth club. Without your energy, enthusiasm, and presence, Chesterton Youth Club would not have become the cherished space it is today.
We also extend our gratitude to all the organisations and supporters who have worked with us behind the scenes fundraising teams, training providers, and third sector partners. Your support, guidance, and belief in our mission helped us deliver high quality opportunities and experiences for local youth over many years.
Now, it’s time for our incredible team of volunteers to enjoy a well-earned rest and begin new adventures.
