2026. Another year, another mission.
It’s a few days off 1 year since us lads lined up outside the gates of Buckingham Palace and took our continent, Europe, on two wheels.
However, duty calls and it’s time to get uncomfortable again…
In a few days Redwood and charlie.gedge will be taking on our beloved motherland, Great Britain.
We will be starting the famous LEJOG challenge in Cornwall on 26th August. It will be just the 2 of us and self supported.
This route is notoriously hilly, with elevation totalling to the same as what we did last year across Europe, given its less than half the distance! Plus, it’s GB, so who knows how the weather will treat us.
Typically, this route takes people 10-14 days to complete, therefore we have set a goal of completing it in sub 10 days.
We cycled around Gedge’s home of Wales last week during the heatwave as part of training. 140 miles and 4,800m elevation in 30°C was not ideal, but prepped us well.
We are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support as both of us have lost close family members to the disease. With of course through the amazing givestar.
