ASD Rainbows

ASD Rainbows ASD Rainbows is a charity that provides services for children and young adults with autism.

We have a Nursery Provision, After School Clubs and offer family and sibling support. We have two bases the Annex Building and Perthcelyn Community Centre. 🌈 ASD Rainbows is a charity that provides supportive, inclusive, and family-focused activities for children on the autism spectrum and their caregivers. We create safe, sensory-aware environments where children can play, learn, and build confid

ence at their own pace. Our sessions encourage social connection, emotional wellbeing, and community understanding—ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. Together, we help families thrive through compassion, acceptance, and joy.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to Mandarin Stone, they so very kindly donate to us on a yearly basis. This is such a huge support to us.
If there are any other businesses who would be in a position to donate either as a one off donation or yearly as has done please get in touch.
If anyone knows of any businesses that could help A.S.D. Rainbows please share our details.

💙 A message from one of our followers has really touched my heart, and I wanted to share it with our community.

A mum reached out to ask whether we could help start a SEN pen-pal and friendship programme.

She explained that her autistic children desperately want friends — someone they can write to, send drawings to, exchange little letters with, and simply call a friend. But because of their disabilities and developmental delays, they haven't yet found children of a similar age who are able to build and maintain those friendships.

Personally, I think this is a beautiful idea so we set up a group

We did something similar for my niece when she was home educated, and over 8 years later she is still friends with some of the children she connected with through it.

I think only our community truly understands how difficult making and maintaining friendships can be for some of our children. So many of them long for connection but struggle to find people who understand them.

This could be a lovely way to build friendships, create confidence, reduce loneliness, and maybe even connect families who live close to each other.

So my question is...

💙 Would you be interested in this ???

If enough people are interested, perhaps we can help make it happen. ( We can help use alternative addresses for safety).

I'll start...

🙋‍♀️ the sen-kids are definitely up for it to help find families nearby and far away

**PLEASE READ AND SHARE**

On Wednesday evening 29th April around 8pm two young people stole equipment from our specialist nursery. They climbed over the playground fence and stole the children’s ride on cars, 1 red and 1 yellow as shown in the picture below. We have clear CCTV of the offenders and ask them to return the cars by tomorrow or we will be contacting the police!!
