5th Motherwell Girls Brigade

Many of you may already have seen the announcement from GB Scotland that the organisation will close in May 2027. We understand there may be mixed emotions and questions following this news, and like many companies across Scotland, we are taking time to process and understand what this means for the future.

At this time, we want to reassure all parents and girls that 5th Motherwell will continue and we will continue supporting and encouraging our girls as we always have.

We will keep all parents and guardians updated as this next year progresses and as more information becomes available.

We are proud of our company, our girls, and the community we have built together over the years, and we thank you all for your continued support and understanding during this time.

Our May 2026 Staycation at Wiston Lodge 💙💜

What a fantastic day we had at Wiston Lodge! Fun, games and teamwork were the focus throughout, with the girls working brilliantly together to complete challenges with lots of laughter and smiles along the way.

We finished the day in style with a cosy jammie party, enjoying McDonald’s, snacks, dancing and plenty of fun together! 🍟💃🎉

A huge thank you to Coca Cola, Cadzow Nursery and Mrs Campbell for their kind donations and support.

What a perfect way to end another wonderful year with the Girls’ Brigade. Have a lovely summer everyone, we’ll see you all after the holidays! ☀️

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Brigader, Sophie Speirs, on achieving her Brigader Brooch, the second highest award in Girls’ Brigade!
This is a fantastic achievement and reflects all of Sophie’s hard work, commitment, and dedication throughout her journey with Girls’ Brigade so far.
We are also delighted that Sophie plans to continue her journey with us by beginning her leader training. We know she will be an amazing role model and inspiration to our younger girls.
Congratulations Sophie — we are so proud of you and excited to see what the future holds for you in Girls’ Brigade! 💜⭐

What an absolutely incredible night at the annual 5th Motherwell Girls’ Brigade Display! ✨💛🐝

From start to finish, the evening was filled with laughter, emotion, pride and unforgettable moments. Our girls were outstanding in every single part of the programme, from the thoughtful and inspiring Acts of Kindness, to the brilliantly creative “Chat GTP – Got To Pray” segment, right through to the wonderful Through the Ages performances that had us laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. And what a way to finish our whole company dance finale was simply amazing! 😎🌟

We are so incredibly proud of every single girl who took part. The confidence, talent, teamwork and joy on display reminded everyone exactly what Girls’ Brigade is all about.

A huge thank you also goes to our special guests who presented the awards, all invited guests, parents, carers, families and friends for your continued support and encouragement throughout the year. Your support means the world to us.

Most importantly, thank you to our dedicated leaders and our wonderful girls who work so hard week after week to make nights like this possible. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves, you were fantastic! ❤️💙💜🩵
