The people we support across New Forest and Portsmouth Day Opportunities had a very busy day at Wi******er Personal Bests!

Split into countries, the people we support represented teams Germany, Spain, and France. They took part in cricket, football, athletics, boxing, squash, circuits and yoga before ending the day with a well-deserved awards ceremony. 🏅

Thank you to Active LD, Wi******er City Council, Wi******er Sport & Leisure Park and University of Wi******er for organising such a fun and exciting day for neuro disabled people across Hampshire!

Beaulieu, National Motor Museum have opened a new community exhibition featuring an amazing 3D map art installation - created in partnership with New Forest Day Opportunities!

The people we support have been working on creating a model version of the daily route taken by the Minstead minibuses across East and West Totton to Minstead Lodge. The model is made from recycled materials and was painstakingly created by New Forest Day Opportunities.

The ‘Minstead Minibus Stories’ exhibition showcases the importance of our minibuses to those who attend NFDO. Many people from Minstead were part of the exhibition through shared stories, recorded conversations, and artwork.

The exhibition will be at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu for an extended period of time, sharing the skills and personalities of the people we support with the museum's visitors. A huge thank you to the National Motor Museum for allowing us to have this opportunity!

Jay from Portsmouth Day Opportunities spoke to us today about being part of the maintenance and gardening teams in Warren Avenue:

'It gives me motivation. It keeps me fit and I'm healthier now - I've lost 16 stone! I really enjoy it and like coming here.'

Jay’s story is a powerful reminder of the difference meaningful opportunities like Day Services can make. 🙌

Our NFDO team had a brilliant visit to Southampton’s God's House Tower where they explored the building’s history and discovered more about the God's House Tower.

They also visited the art gallery to explore the 'While We Slumber' exhibition by Lady Kitt where they enjoyed interacting with the slide, wearing dressing gowns, and lying on inflatable beds. They even made shell spells to be part of the exhibition!

We're excited to welcome the rain back to the New Forest 🌧️

The return of the rain has inspired Richard to flex his creativity and write a short story!

'Here comes the rain'
It is still hot and dry. But then rain clouds come over the sky like a high speed train. Soon the place rains, it rains sooo hard Minstead has turned into an ocean. Fish started swimming in the water people started fishing for fish and chips.
