temporary work is inspired by the landscape and light of Pembrokeshire and includes fine art, mixed media, sculpture, photography, ceramics, pottery, textiles, papier mache, jewellery, glass, metal, slate and wood work.

Let us introduce another of our wonderful textile artists - Janet Raven Taylor.

Here’s what Janet has to say about her work.
I’ve always been captivated by textile art and its potential to transform materials into tactile, sculptural forms.
In my recent work, I construct new fabrics by layering net and organza, then bonding them together to form a unique base.
These surfaces are intricately detailed with spirals, created through free-motion machine embroidery. A technique that feels like sketching with a sewing machine.
The process is both meditative and mesmerising, as I build layers of colour and texture.
Every element is carefully hand-stitched, shaped, and refined. From these layers, organic forms begin to emerge, jellyfish, deep-sea creatures, and fungi inspired by ancient woodlands.

Come and view Janet’s beautiful creations at the Waterfront Gallery - now open from Monday to Saturday 10.30-4.00 until the end of September.

Join Lynn Stuart for a free drawing workshop this Saturday, May 29th at the Waterfront Gallery, Discovery Quay, Milford Haven.
Bring along a photograph you’d like to work from and Lynn will supply the rest.

You’ll be working on brown paper and oil to create works similar to those Lynn is exhibiting in her wonderful solo show, Hubberston Girls, currently on at the Waterfront Gallery.

Choose from one of two workshops - 11.00-12.30 or 1.30-4.00
