FreeStyle Community Projects FreeStyle CIC helps individuals & communities in Middlesbrough to flourish through creative projects. Human progress is possible for us.

FreeStyle's evolutionary purpose is seeing real transformation in our area. We search for connection to grow positive, holistic community. As individuals and communities we can hope for something better. It emerges all around us but needs cultivating. And so, our organisation is set-up as a diverse ecosystem of projects, actions and meeting spaces to help make that progress possible. We design bol

d grass-roots work as well as hosting creative spaces for us to wrestle with our place in the universe. Our activities constantly flex in response to the changing needs but at the moment include:
Alley greening and the Urban Rebirth network. Community development and organising, youth work, skills sharing workshops. Alternative faith collectives and events to disect our beliefs. We have a resource team dedicated to hosting conversations, unconferences and starting bold new expressions of community. Working with Community Connectors to facilitate bold connections between activists. Creating resources to support our communities during Covid. We are passionate about community-led activities, and partnering where we can to realise a better, more connected world. Whatever background you're from we'd love to connect with you - be the change you want to see in the world!

Some of our projects are coming towards the end of their funded period, but we’d really love to keep them going for the community.

It costs a lot to run our events and activities when you take everything into account: safeguarding, health and safety, insurance, training, equipment, freelance staff costs, planning, admin, marketing, and even tea and coffee.

We’re looking at new funding opportunities, sponsorships, partnerships, and fundraising ideas, so if you’ve got any suggestions or know of anything that could help, we’d really appreciate it. Every bit of support makes a difference ❤️

This Saturday we’re heading to Middlesbrough Repair Cafe 🔧✨

We’ll be there chatting all things Sharecycle and offering FREE memberships for anyone planning to hire in the next 3 months 🙌

Bring along your own items that need fixing and the volunteers will see what they can do 🛠️

We’re also bringing a few bits to get fixed, meeting some lovely people, and yes… definitely having a cake (or two) 🍰
