We’re hosting an open dementia awareness session at Young@Heart — come along, learn more, build confidence and help us create a more inclusive community. 💜

💙 World Alzheimer’s Month – Raising Awareness Together 💙

This World Alzheimer’s Month is all about raising awareness about dementia, and we’re delighted to be delivering Open Dementia Information Sessions in Redcar and Middlesbrough, hosted by some of our wonderful Dementia Friendly Community businesses. 🫶

🌟 What is an Open Session?
It means anybody can come along! There’s no need to be a member or have any previous knowledge about dementia. Simply turn up, learn more, ask questions and enjoy a friendly, supportive environment.

These sessions are ideal for:
💙 Family members, friends and carers of those living with dementia
💙 Anyone who wants to understand dementia better
💙 Small businesses and sole traders who want to become part of their local Dementia Friendly Community

Learning about dementia is an essential part of being a Dementia Friendly Community, and we’d love to welcome you along.

We’re also delighted to welcome the newest member of Dementia Friendly Middlesbrough – Youngatheart Young who will be hosting our Middlesbrough Open Session. 🎉

☕🍰 Come along, learn more about dementia and the support available, meet others in your community — and enjoy tea and cake for just £3!
