There she is…. Our amazing Linda Nocab on her mission for stock on Wednesday. What a day she had, but she made all of our customers happy and she managed to get lots of things to top up our stocks.

Thank you Morrisons Middlesbrough Community Champion we really appreciate your support 💜

Was lovely to see Linda who popped in to buy some stock for there food bank, we also donated some 😀 Linda usually gets help from fair share but as some of you may have read on social media and Teesside live it was sadly broken into by vandal and there cut wires putting all there fridges & freezers out of action 😩 Linda’s eco shop is based at the viewley centre at hemlington, if you have any unwanted food or you need help yourself please pop along and see this great team 💚

Sometimes when the world throws a curve ball, community takes over and comes to your rescue.

Following a break in at Fareshare North East this week, TVT along with many other eco shops, didn’t receive their usual delivery - 90kg of food missing from our store and no fresh produce for our customers.

Linda Nocab worked her magic and ran here there and everywhere picking up donations - thank you so much for the work you put in on this 💜 We had to purchase some additional stock from Morrisons Middlesbrough Community Champion to make sure we had what our customers need and then……

Middlesbrough Environment City rocked up with all of this fresh produce and showed us that community is well and truly alive in Middlesbrough 💜

Thank you to everyone who helped get stock on the shelves, helped FareShare put the warehouse back together and for all the kindness shown to us 💜

Healthy Food Shouldn't Cost the Earth... and neither should getting it onto people's plates.

At Tees Valley Together, we have always been about avoiding food waste and making sure people have access to healthy food at affordable prices so when we were asked to join this project, we jumped at the chance to.

HP2 isn't just about creating healthy meals, it's about thinking differently about our food system. By making use of community food infrastructure and local partnerships, we're exploring how healthier and more sustainable ways of accessing food can work in practice.

Thanks to faresharenortheast Middlesbrough Environment City and all of the partners involved, these community-designed meals are now reaching the people they were created for.

Funded by School for Public Health Research (SPHR), this project brings together Teesside University, uniofexeter, Lancaster University, unibirmingham , Centre for Translational Research in Public Health,
, , Council and , Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

Together we're showing that healthier food systems can also be more sustainable.

☀️ Tees Valley Together HAF Summer Programme 2025 ☀️

We're excited to be bringing a fantastic programme of FREE activities for children and families this summer through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme!

From beach adventures and roller skating to animal encounters, cooking and our Family Fun Day, there's something for everyone to enjoy. It's a great opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and create lasting summer memories.

🌊 Saltburn Beach Trip – 5 August
🛼 Roller Skating & Albert Park – 7 August
🐐 Mobile Petting Zoo – 12 August
🍳 World Cup Cooking – 14 August
🎉 Family Fun Day – 21 August

📍 Activities take place at venues across Middlesbrough, with transport provided for our Saltburn and Roller Skating trips from Hemlington Community Living Room.
