After a life‑changing year and treatment at the BGH, Shannon is climbing in honour of the incredible care she received. 💙🩵🧡

Huge congratulations to our former Chair of NHS Borders Health Charity, Karen Hamilton, on being awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List!
Karen has given so much of her time to local charities over the years, and this recognition couldn’t be more deserved.👏💙🩵🧡

We are proud to announce that our former Chair, Karen Hamilton who retired in December, was awarded an OBE for services to Health and to the Community in the Scottish Borders, in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2026.

This is a well deserved achievement and we pass our congratulations to Karen.

She’s going up and away! 🛩

This August, Iona Stobbart will be taking to the skies as she bravely takes on a skydive to raise donations for The Margaret Kerr Unit & Palliative Care Service in the Borders 💙🩵🧡

Iona is completing this nerve‑wracking challenge in loving memory of her dad, and as a heartfelt thank‑you for the incredible care and support her family received.

NHS Borders Health Charity know the positive impact volunteers can have on patient care, as well as on staff morale. During this Volunteers Week we wanted to share how pleased we are to have been able to support the re-introduction of volunteering at NHS Borders with funding for the Voluntary Services Manager and for engagement events like this one yesterday.

In a little over a month, the Berwickshire Charity Truck Run will be rolling out once again!🚛🚛🚛

On 4th July, drivers and trucks from all over will take on an epic route across the Scottish Borders, creating an unforgettable day for spectators and supporters alike.

We are thrilled to once again be supported by the committee and donors, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued dedication.💙🩵🧡

📚 Book Release Event!

Tonight, local author Maura Kennedy Fair unveils her brand‑new book, The Guest Who Changed Everything.

The evening will include a live reading, a Q&A session, and the chance to have your copy signed by the author herself.

Maura is generously donating profits from sales to support Border Cancer Services at NHS Borders Health Charity — a wonderful gesture that will make a real difference.💙🩵🧡
