💚 Every day is everything

As part of , we're highlighting one of the questions people ask most when considering adoption: "What support will I receive?"

This year's National Adoption Week is particularly significant, marking 100 years since adoption became a formal legal process, giving adoptive parents the legal status and rights of parents. Over the last century, adoption has continued to evolve, with a greater focus on meeting the needs of children and ensuring families receive the support they need.

This year, we recognise the everyday moments help children feel safe, loved and that they belong.

With Adoption East Midlands, support doesn't stop when you're approved or when a child moves in. From your first enquiry, we're here to support you every step throughout your adoption journey.

We’ll provide preparation, guidance and support to help you understand the needs of adopted children. Ongoing support is available with advice, services and resources tailored to individual needs. We’re also building an adoption community through our very own Peers4Peers service, ran by adopters for adopters!

Adoption is about more than a single moment. It's about being there every day and having the right support when you need it most.
