Here’s what you’ve been patiently waiting for.

Tickets are now on sale for the Festival of Voices held on Saturday October 3rd at All Saints Church, Marlow.

Called a Festival of Voices the event introduces to Marlow the acclaimed Pontarddulais Male Choir.

Led by Musical Director Clive Phillips the choir has secured a record 17 first-place victories in the Royal National Eisteddfod. Also 2 wins at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, and it has been a two times winner of the Choir of the Festival at the National Eisteddfod.

Also appearing will be Ellen Williams – an award-winning soprano and songwriter who has performed both internationally and across the UK - including venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, and Bridgewater Hall.

The evening will be very special, and we expect tickets to sell very quickly indeed. In line with our other events all profits will go to charity, and for this particular event we have chosen Meals from Marlow as the lead recipient.

Tickets are £32.50 and doors will open at 6.30 pm. Each ticket has a unique QR code which will be scanned on arrival at the church. Numbers in the church are very strictly limited, so it is imperative that you have your QR Code with you.

Our meeting on Wednesday was a good example of how Rotary is present in many countries and touches people’s lives in unexpected ways. In fact, we had two examples.

Our visiting Rotarian, Nagarjun, entrepreneur, exporter and third-generation leader of his family business, represented endurance, innovation, and international friendship on his 24,000 kilometers from Mysore Palace in India to Buckingham Palace in London. As one of the organisers of the 'Ride for Rotary' expedition to India in 2023 in which members of our club participated, he was well versed in the challenges that were ahead of him.

Our evening with him at the Grouse & Ale in Lane End was a great opportunity to hear about his adventure and swap Rotary banners to commemorate the occasion.

This was followed by a very insightful talk by Oscar Akerman about Brentford Football Club’s community work and outreach programmes, which support local schools and charities across West London. A prolific photographer he was encouraged to start a career in photography by his win at a Rotary Young photographer competition put on by the Rotary Club of Maidenhead many years earlier.

Brentford Community Sports Trust has been running for over 35 years and has established itself as a pioneering organisation for the local community. It uses the power of sport to educate, motivate and inspire people from all backgrounds.
The club has a very close working relationship with the Trust supporting many of its programmes locally helping to advertise opportunities and support its work in the community.

The summer may still be in full swing but behind the scenes the Rotary Clubs of Marlow have been working hard on the preparations for the 22nd Marlow Santas Fun Run - taking place on December 6th.

The entry website will go live on Tuesday September 1st - and we will put out full details then. And as a reminder last year all 3000 places were taken up around 4 weeks before the event date.

Something unforgettable is coming to Marlow this October...

Imagine the sound of powerful male voices filling the magnificent All Saints Church.

Add one of the UK's outstanding vocal soloists.

This is the Festival of Voices – a spectacular new musical event presented by the Rotary Club of Marlow Thames, with lead sponsor Crowne Plaza Marlow, on Saturday October 3rd. All profits will go to charity with Meals from Marlow the lead recipient.

The Rotary Clubs of Marlow (organisers of the Marlow Santa’s Fun Run and the Marlow Tastes event) are pleased to introduce the widely acclaimed Pontarddulais Male Choir. The choir is internationally renowned - having appeared in many parts of Europe as well as Canada and the United States. Indeed, it is the most successful competitive male voice choir from Wales.

Also appearing will be special guest soloist Ellen Williams – an award-winning soprano and songwriter who has performed both internationally and across the UK - including venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, and Bridgewater Hall. She was the support artist on II Divo‘s 2024 UK tour performing to a sold-out London Palladium, and has been an anthem soloist leading a crowd of 74,000 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Tickets will go on sale towards the end of August and are expected to be in high demand. An online ticketing facility will be used on a "first come, first served" basis - watch out for information here and through our dedicated Festival of Voices page:

What a great evening we had. Tonight we’re having a picnic on the Thames. Great to be members.

Had a lovely session, meal and Q&A talk yesterday evening at the Grouse and Ale, Lane End, invited by Marlow Thames Rotary Club. We talked about Qigong, Wild Swan, Stamp Out Su***de (SOS) and our wonderful community.

Around 30 of us (pic below of our best zombie 🧟‍♂️ 🧟 🧠 🍴😂 impressions) did a session in the side pub garden by the road, with honking horns and curious passers by!

Marlow Thames Rotary gave an update on all the incredible local charity work they do, and we're hoping to see some of their members with us practising soon in Higginson Park. Thank you to Malcolm for his support and enthusiasm as a member himself there, kindly championing first hand what we do!

A hot evening last night, 26 June, in many ways. We were not only fanned to keep cool but fanned with a celebration of the end of a Rotary year. This being the traditional hand-over evening to see in the new President Jane Fowler, new President Elect Nina Barrs and hear from the now Past President, Richard Hockly. He gave a review of his 2025-2026 Rotary year after a hilarious Monty Pythonesque skit based on Richard’s interests in life outside Rotary.

It has been an exceptionally good year and he awarded the President’s Shield to Nina Barrs for her great support to him and the club throughout the year touching on many aspects of the club’s activities.

It was also a delight to induct a new member Jocelyn Towns who was presented with her Rotary pin, badge and not to be forgotten ‘high viz’ jacket. She is looking forward to getting involved in all sorts of ways. She will be a great asset to the club.
