Now open discover our latest exhibition Energetique, an exhibition of modern abstract art by Jacob Montague.

Jacob is an artist with severe autism who had previously struggled to engage calmly with the world around him until he discovered the joy that came from mark-making and creativity.

Jacob’s work echoes themes and stylistic accents of other successful neurodivergent artists. His supportive family and art teacher have given him the freedom and space to allow him to create art in his own raw energetic style.

Jacob’s work provides a rare insight into an interpretation of the world as he sees it - full of colour and full of energy.

Open until 7 September, discover the exhibition Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

Don't forget to pop in and enter OneMaidstone Monster Mash competition!

Can you design Maidstone's next Monster Mascot? ⁠ ⁠This October half term, Maidstone's Monster Mash is taking over the town centre with giant inflatable monsters popping up on rooftops across Maidstone... but they're missing one thing – a monster of their own!⁠ ⁠

Everyone is invited to get creative and design a friendly monster that could be brought to life as part of this year's Monster Mash celebrations. The competition is open until Friday 28 August, pop in here at Creative Maidstone and design your monster!

We are open Monday to Saturday, 9am till 5pm.

Discover the art of crochet by joining our 4-week course this September lead by artist Clare Saunders. Learn how to create your own bespoke Flora cushion or lap blanket. You'll develop skills including reading patterns, crocheting in the round, decorative 3D stitches, shaping techniques, and joining methods.

The course costs £80, including a full kit worth £35 with yarn, patterns, stitch markers, a crochet hook, yarn needle, and more.
