A huge welcome to our newest therapy dog - Clover. She would like to say a few words:

Hello my name is Clover, I’m a PAT dog which stands for Pets as Therapy dog and I come to work with mummy.

I love coming to work, I love seen all of my friends and making people smile. I love having cuddles and going on walkies with my friends at work. Some of my friends who mummy works with find it tricky talking to humans like mummy and they find it easier talking to me. I am very good at listening and I can do it with my eyes closed.

When I’m not at work my favourite things to do are to go on walkies, I love running and am really fast. My favourite places to go are the woods and the beach. I also love food and if you invite me round for dinner I will eat anything! I don’t like the rain or having baths which mummy forces me to have when I roll in my favourite perfume oud fox poo….

This is what some of my friends I work with have said about me.

“I love when Clover comes to see me, she always cheers me up especially as I miss my pets. Clover loves a cuddle and also likes to lick my legs which is a bit odd but cute at the same time.”

“Clover visits me and cheers me up when I’m having a bad day.”

“As a staff member seeing patients excitement when they see Clover is extremely rewarding.”

Clover - we are so pleased to have you🥰🐶🐾 Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust

A huge and heart felt thank you to the wonderful Band Of Brothers - Masonic Riding Group (BoB) - part of the Provincial Grand Lodge of West Kent. Who SO very kindly delivered a great deal of love and joy to our Children and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Hospital on the 3rd of April! Staff and patients received some Easter goodies and a real buzz of excitement!

We are so grateful for you BoB - we can't wait to welcome you back.

I am saddened to share the news that one of our beloved Pets as Therapy Dogs Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust- Sabbath has passed away. Sabbath volunteered with the Trust with his owners Bonny and Shane for a number of years, he provided our patients and staff with a never ending stream of slobbery kisses, non-judgemental cuddles and untold glimmers of joy.

I'm sure all of us will notice his absence, and we are incredibly grateful to this gentle giant for the time that he spent with us.

Shane and Bonny will still be volunteering with their other two Bumper-Sized Pooches - Jinger and Christie. But we share our condolences with the family who give so much to our Trust. We hope that there is an abundance of ice-cream and tuna sandwiches over the Rainbow Bridge Sabbath. 🌈🌈

🌿 Looking for something a little… different… for your next team away day?
Let me introduce you to our hidden gem in St Martins: the Webbs Garden Tea Hut.

Tucked inside our beautiful Victorian walled garden in Canterbury, this little space has quietly become one of my favourite parts of the charity. It’s cosy, calm, and completely unique — a place where teams can step away from screens, reconnect with each other, and breathe.

✨ What we offer:
• Meeting space for 10–15 people
• WiFi (yes, even in the secret garden!)
• Tea & coffee facilities
• Projector screen
• And the backdrop of chickens, greenery, poly-tunnels and the gentlest atmosphere you’ll find in an NHS setting

A day that genuinely feels good — and does good. 💛
Every booking supports Health Heart Hope, the charity of the Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust, helping us continue to fund the things the NHS budget simply can’t stretch to anymore: therapeutic spaces, greenspace recovery, animal-assisted therapy, and moments of joy for our patients.

If your team is looking for an away day that’s meaningful, grounding, and just a bit magical… Webbs Garden is ready for you.

Let’s make your next away day one your team actually remembers. 🌱💫

How many times this week have you said, “Brrr… the temperature’s really dropped”?

Now imagine you’re saying it while sleeping on the streets…

with a serious mental illness…

with no warm coat, no safe place, and no way to escape the cold.

This is the reality for people in our communities tonight.

Our Winter Appeal is urgent.

If you or your organisation can help — even in a small way — please do.

No one should be facing this cold alone.
